The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 44 year-old male was arrested on the 9th of June at 7:35 pm at his west end residence and charged with 4 counts of breach of probation.
The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 44 year-old male was arrested on the 9th of June at 7:35 pm at his west end residence and charged with 4 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 9th of June around 3:15 pm the accused attended at his ex-girlfriend’s place of employment and harassed her there. At the time of this incident he was on conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to communicate with or harass her. When police were dealing with the accused it is alleged that he was under the influence of alcohol. The accused was also on probation conditions not to consume any alcohol.

2) A 30 year-old male was arrested on the 9th of June around 4:30 pm at his central area residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 9th of June at 7:30 pm the accused assaulted his wife at their central area residence by slapping her and pushing her against a wall. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

3) A 30 year-old female was arrested on the 10th of June just after 7 pm on Queen Street East and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that the accused was at her common-law husband’s east end residence and after getting into an argument she struck him in the head with a beer bottle. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

4) 53 year-old Bernard Agawa of 192 Frontenac Street was arrested on the 10th of June just before 6 pm on Pine Street and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that around the middle of May the accused entered an apartment belonging to a male known to him in the 900 block of Queen Street East and stole an electric guitar and case valued at $600.00.

5) 35 year-old Clinton Perrault of 11 Lake Street in Echo Bay was arrested outstanding warrants on the 10th of June just before 2 am on Albert Street East and charged with one count of unlawfully at large and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 10th of June City police attended for an intoxicated male attempting to get into a residence in the 200 block of Albert Street East and when officers were checking the male they discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for being unlawfully at large when he failed to report for an intermittent sentence to the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre on the 2nd of February 2007.

Stolen Car Hitting a House

On the 9th of June 2007 just after 9 pm city police received a call that a grey Chrysler intrepid had just dropped off two persons at a residence in the 100 block of Church Street and had struck the house there. A witness was able to provide the plate of the vehicle to the police. The plate that was given came back to a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier in the day. It is alleged that when officers attended they located a male and a female inside the vehicle and one female had just got out of the vehicle and was entering the residence. All three persons were arrested. Further investigation by police revealed that the two females had attended at the Churchill Plaza Liquor Store earlier in the evening a stole three bottles of vodka valued at $150.00. The vodka bottles and a screwdriver were located in the vehicle. There were no injuries reported. The vehicle received minor damage and there was no damages reported to the residence.

The following three persons were charged:

1) 18 year-old Sonya Maisonoquaishkang of no fixed address was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime two counts of theft under $5,000 one count of possession of housebreaking tools and three counts of breaching a release document. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. This accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 18 year-old Ashley Swanson of #8-168 Portage Lane was charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. She is to appear in court on the 16th of July.

3) 18 year-old Robert Robinson-Perrault of 23 Street was charged with one count of possession of stolen property. He is to appear in court on the 16th of July.

Impaired Driving

68 year-old John Ansley of #703-70 East Street was arrested on the 8th of June around 4 pm and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 8th of June the accused was refused service at the LCBO in the Station Mall after dropping a bottle of liquor and not being able to use the debit machine properly. It is alleged that after the accused left the LCBO he got into a red GEO and drove off. Witnesses contacted police and followed the vehicle to the Beer Store on Bruce. They observed the vehicle swerve several times on route. It is alleged that the accused bought some beer and then got back into his car and drove out of the parking lot heading towards Grosvenor Avenue. The police were able to stop the vehicle on Grosvenor Avenue. It is alleged that when officers were dealing with the male he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused is to appear in court on the 16 of July.

The following break and enters were reported over the weekend:

1) A residence on Third Line West was entered overnight between the 7th and 8th of June. Nothing appeared to be taken.

2) Officers conducting routine property checks found an opened door to a building in the 500 block of Bay Street on the 9th of June around 6 am. It was not known if entry was gained or anything was taken.

3) A shed was entered on the 9th of June overnight in the 100 block of Goulais Avenue. Two bikes were reported stolen.

4) An alarm was set off at St. Mary’s College at 130 Wellington Street East on the 10th of June at around 5:30 am. When security checked the building they found an opened door. It is not known at this time if entry was gained or if anything was taken.
