Male to appear in bail court for dangerous driving On Friday July 23rd members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old male for dangerous driving.
Male to appear in bail court for dangerous driving

On Friday July 23rd members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old male for dangerous driving. It is alleged that at approximately 3:30 pm on Friday July 23rd the accused was operating his motor vehicle on Grace St. and while doing so he struck a pedestrian. It is alleged that the accused was travelling at a high rate of speed and operating his vehicle in a dangerous manner. Brent Garson, age 27, of 30 Grace St is charged with one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. The victim in this incident was taken to hospital and is being treated for his injuries.

Female to appear in bail court for assault, mischief and breach of probation

On Saturday July 24th members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old female for assault, mischief and breach of probation. It is alleged that on July 24th the accused was at her boyfriend’s residence when she threw a beer bottle through a window. The accused is then alleged to have assaulted a female victim at the residence. It is further alleged that the accused breached her conditions of probation by consuming alcohol and being out after her curfew. The accused is charge with one count of assault, one count of mischief and three counts of breach of probation.

Male arrested for possession of stolen property

On Saturday July 25th members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male for possession of stolen property and breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that in December 2009 the accused attended at a local pawnshop and pawned a computer and a digital camera. Both the items had been reported stolen. It is further alleged that the accused breached conditions of his undertaking release order by failing to notify a change of address and communicating with a person he was prohibited from communicating with. Christian Fox, age 28, of 150 Chippewa St. is charged with one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of an undertaking. Mr. Fox will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for assault

On Friday July 23rd members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that on Friday July 23rd the accused attended at the victim’s address and assaulted her by punching her in the head. The victim did not require medical attention. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on probation. Vincent Schiele, age 36, of 21 Blue Jay Crt is charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation. Mr. Schiele will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for assaulting a police officer

On Friday July 23rd members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old female for being intoxicated in a public place. It is further alleged that when one of the officers were escorting the accused into the police station the accused assaulted the officer by spitting on the officer. Lindsay Perrault, age 26, of 814 Wellington St. E. Apt. # 3 is charged with one count of assault police. Ms. Perrault will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter

Break and enters were reported to the following locations:

The 100 block of Oxford St. - unknown what was taken.
The 300 block of Beverly St. - garage entered and a bicycle was stolen.
The 100 block of Idaho Dr. - garage entered and a bicycle was taken.
Two break ins wee reported to the 100 block of Gore St. electronics and power tools were stolen.
The 200 and 900 blocks of McNabb St. tools and power tools were stolen.
The 400 block of Bay St. - unknown what was taken.

Mischief

Vehicles were damaged in the following locations:
The 100 block of Atwater St.
The 100 block of Alexandra St.
The 600 block of Shafer Ave.
The 100 block of Grosvenor Ave.
The 100 block of Queen St. E.
The 600 block of Queen St.W.
An apartment window was damaged in the 100 block of Gore St.
A home in the 100 block of centennial Ave. was egged.

Theft

Vehicles were entered and items stolen from the following locations:
The 100 block of Parkingworth Pl. - electronics were stolen.
The 100 block of Wiber St. – unknown at this time what was taken.
The 100 block of Coulson Ave – a wallet and identification were stolen.
The 800 block of Copper St. cash was taken.
