MALE & FEMALE ASSAULTED City Police were called to the downtown area on the Saturday evening regarding a domestic dispute. Officers received information that a male was grabbing and choking a female.

City Police were called to the downtown area on the Saturday evening regarding a domestic dispute. Officers received information that a male was grabbing and choking a female.

After assaulting his girlfriend the male then returned to an address in the area and assaulted a male with a 2x2 piece of wood, striking the victim in the body and head. At the time of these offences, the male was on probation order with conditions to keep the peace and not to molest, harass or annoy the female victim. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

The 20-year old male will appear in bail court today after being charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation.


BREACHED RELEASE CONDITIONS
20-year old Michael Albert Radford of no fixed address will also appear in bail court today. Officers came across Mr. Radford in an intoxicated condition on Saturday evening and learned he was on a release document with conditions not to drink.

Officers further learned that Mr. Radford had failed to notify a change of address and failed to keep the peace and be good as directed on his probation order. He has been charged with one count of breach of a release document and two counts of breach of probation.


DOWNTOWN DOMESTIC DISPUTE
A 34-year old male will appear in bail court today after being charged with one count of assault stemming from a domestic violence call.

Early Sunday morning police went to a downtown residence and received a complaint from the female victim that the accused had pulled her hair and punched her in the head a number of times. The female received minor injuries.


TWO YOUTHS FACE CHARGES
A 17-year old youth will appear in court on August 31st after assaulting a male victim by kicking and punching the victim a number of times. The assault occurred on the 7th of July in the downtown area. The youth has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

A second 17-year old has also been charged in the same incident as well. This youth also had another incident with the same victim on the 20th of June when it is alleged the youth also punched the victim in the face. This youth was on probation with terms to keep the peace. This young person has been charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, one count of aggravated assault and 3 counts of breach of probation. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.


SHOPLIFTING
29-year old Kelly Boyer of 81 Gran Street, Rankin Reserve, will appear in court on August 30th in answer to a theft charge. It is alleged that on Saturday, the accused entered the 4 Seasons Collectible Store in the Station Mall and stole a Toronto Maple Leafs Jersey. He was arrested a short time later and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. The sweater was recovered and turned over to the store.


WEEKEND BREAK & ENTERS
Over the weekend, there was an attempt break and enter into the Sports Centre Bar and Grill as well as a garage in the 200 block of Patrick Street. A number of tools were taken from the garage break and enter.

The tools are all Craftman power tools and they are still in their boxes. The owner is working on providing a detailed list to the investigating officer.
