WEEKEND DRUG BUST City Police were kept busy this weekend. Police stopped a 1989 Chev Cavalier on Highway 17 North. The vehicle was stopped and subsequently searched. Located in the vehicle was 8.

City Police were kept busy this weekend. Police stopped a 1989 Chev Cavalier on Highway 17 North. The vehicle was stopped and subsequently searched. Located in the vehicle was 8.1 grams of cocaine in the glove box of the vehicle and 6 grams of cocaine in a cigarette package in the front seat area of the car.

Andre Roy, 16 March 1984, of 29 Mackey St. Wawa Ont. Has been charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime, the property being a cell phone.

David Earl Raymond Collin Lahaye, 18 July 1980, of 26 Main St. Wawa Ont., a passenger in the in the rear of the vehicle, was found to have 2.1 grams of cannabis hashish, and $255.00 in his possession. He has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds obtained by crime, and also possession of a narcotic.

Brian Richard Jackson Lockstein, 21 Apr. 1982, of 22Gold St., Wawa Ont., was found to have in his possession 6 grams of cannabis hashish and $290.00, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and proceeds obtained by crime.

Total street value of drugs seized is approx. $1572.00. Total monies seized from the three accused was $545.00.
All three males are to appear in court 25 Aug. 2003.

WEAPON ASSULT.
Gregory Alexander Phelan, 5 Aug. 1957 of 39 Sunnydale, has been charged with assault with a weapon. It appears on two separate occasions, Mr. Phelan threatened the victim, once with a knife and the second with a brick. He is to appear in bail court on the 21 July at 1:30 p.m.

YOUNG OFFENDERS CHARGED.
Police charged a young offender with threatening. It appears that the young person had attended at a residence in the West end with a hammer and threatened to hit the victim. The victim was able to close the door and contact Police. The young person is to appear in court the 26 Aug. 2003.

Two young offenders, 14 and 12, have been charged with sexual assault that occurred on the 18 July 2003. Both are to appear in court the 26 Aug. 2003.

Marc Henry Bealieu, 24 Apr. 1970, of 769 Pine St. has been charged with mischief. Police responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. Upon investigation of the incident, it appears Mr. Bealieu walked into the vehicle. After hitting the vehicle, Mr. Bealieu walked over to the vehicle and smashed out the rear passenger window. He will appear in court the 18 Aug. 2003.

WEEKEND BREAK & ENTERS.
City Police are currently investigating several break and enters that occurred over the weekend
In the 300 block of Kingsford Rd. Unknown person(s) entered a residence and stole jewellery. In the 300 block of Albert St. West, unknown person(s) entered into a residence and stole a V.C.R, an undisclosed amount of money and medications. Any persons with information regarding these break and enters are asked to contact City Police.

There were also several minor motor vehicle accidents over the weekend, fortunately no injuries were reported and damages were minor.
