Bail Court

A 48-year-old male was arrested on the 11th of July at 12:05 p.m. at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in relation to a domestic related incident and charged with breach of recognizance x 2. It is alleged that this male left his residence without his surety and harassed the victim by following her. He was prohibited from doing both as conditions of a release document.

A 38-year-old male was arrested on the11th of July at 2:35 p.m. in the East End of the city for a domestic related incident and charged with assault and threatening. It is alleged that the accused grabbed the female victim and threatened to harm her. The victim did not require medical attention.

18-year-old Tina Dawn Tremblay of 606 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 11th of July at 9:10 p.m. in front of her residence for an outstanding warrant. The accused had been wanted for failing to appear for court. Upon arrest the accused allegedly resisted and attempted to assault the arresting officers. She was additionally charged with resist arrest.

Public Mischief

56-year-old Linda Karchie of 285 Cathcart Street was arrested on the 9th of July at 11:20 a.m. at her residence and charged with public mischief. It is alleged that the accused had knowingly made a false report to police by purporting to officers that she had been assaulted by a male party known to her. She is compelled to attend court on the 29th of July.

Breach of Probation

52-year-old Rene Lamarche of no fixed abode was arrested on the 9th of July at 3:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Queen Street East and charged with breach of probation x 2. It is alleged that the accused had attended at a residence on Queen Street East and spoke to a resident at that location while being prohibited from doing so as conditions of a probation order. He is to attend court on the 29th of July.

47-year-old Robert Knot of 120 Eagle Cresent was arrested on the 11th of July at 1:48 a.m. at his residence and charged with breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused had verbally harassed a female known to him while being prohibited from doing so as a condition of his probation order. He is scheduled to attend court on the 16th of August.

Warrants

31-year-old Peter Miller of 844 Queen Street East was arrested on the 10th of July at 7:50 p.m. on Grace Street for 2 outstanding warrants. It is further alleged that the accused had caused damage to his cell while at the Sault Ste. Marie Police service. He was additionally charged with mischief and breach of probation.

Break and Enter

26-year-old Robert Day of 78 Lorna Drive was arrested on the 11th of July at 11:45 p.m. for break and enter. It is alleged that the accused had broken into a residence on Hardwood Drive and then fled the area upon police arrival. He was located and arrested a short distance away. The accused was additionally charged with trespassing at night and was released with a court date of the 16th of August.

Break and Enters

There was attempted break and enter to a residence on Atwater Street sometime during the early morning hours of the 9th of July.

There was a break and enter to a residence in the 100 block of Goulais Avenue. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

There was a break and enter to a residence in the 100 block of Birch Street that occurred sometime the 8th and 10th of July. Nothing appears to have been taken.

There was an attempted break and enter to a residence on James Street.

Theft From Vehicles

Money was stolen from a vehicle on Indiana Drive
An “ipod” and cell phone were stolen from vehicles in the 200 block of Shannon Road. Change was stolen from vehicles on Country Club Place A leather bag and books were stolen from a vehicle on Danby Road. An “iTouch” was stolen from a vehicle on Albion Street. A Camera and loose change was stolen from a vehicle on Bellevue Avenue.

Mischief

A vehicle was scratched on Melville Road.
A vehicle was egged in the 200 block of First Avenue.
A pool at a residence on Idaho Drive was damaged.
Several vehicles had windows smashed at an establishment in the 700 block of Trunk Road.
