12 People Will Appear In Bail Court This Morning

1) 18-year old Michael Genetti of no fixed address was arrested on the 7th of July on outstanding charges from earlier this summer. In May the accused was charged with one count of assault, one count of breach of probation and one count of resist arrested. It s alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on the 7th of June. It is further alleged that on the 7th of July the accused breached conditions on his release order by failing to notify a change of address.

2) 35-year old Donald Cory of 33 Wemyss Street was arrested just before 1 am this morning and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of consume over the legal limit and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and collided with a vehicle that was parked on Breton Road. At the time of this release it is unknown what the vehicle damage was, but there were no injuries. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation not to consume alcohol.

3) 32-year old Jason Levesque of 81 Hillside Drive was arrested on the 8th of July and charged with 3 counts of assault, one count of break and enter and commit an offence and one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that the accused attended at a centrally located address and got into an altercation with a male and a female at that address. The accused then allegedly kicked in the door of the residence and assaulted a third person in the residence. It is alleged that the accused pushed a metal pipe to push one of the female victims to the floor. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of the 8th of July.

4) 33-year old Line Morel (female) of 123 Oakland Avenue was also arrested on the 8th of July and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and three counts of assault. It is alleged that the accused was with Mr. Levesque and got into a verbal argument with a male and female victim at a centrally located address. It is alleged that the accused kicked the male victim. It is further alleged that the accused entered a home with the co-accused Levesque and pushed a female victim over a table and punched a second female victim several times. It is further alleged that the accused struck a truck belonging to one of the victim’s with a metal pipe breaking a tail light.

5) A 54-yer old male was arrested and charged on July 8th with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by slapping her in the face. The incident occurred in the City’s downtown area.

6) A 27-year old male was arrested and charged on the 8th of July with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused and his common law wife got into an argument at their east end address and the accused allegedly threw the victim against the house and attempted to drag her into the home.

7) A 33-year old female was arrested on the 9th of July and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her husband by punching him in the face. The incident occurred in the central area of town at their residence.

8) A 51-year old female was arrested and charged on the 8th of July with one count of mischief under $5,000 and five counts of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at her boyfriend’s centrally located residence. The victim asked the accused to leave his residence at which time the accused became upset and broke several windows and damaged a barbeque.

9) A 38-year old male was arrested on the 8th of July and charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused and his girlfriend became involved in an argument that escalate to the point that the accused allegedly punching the victim in the face and threatened to kill her.

10) A 32-year old male was arrested on the 8th of July and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused and his wife got into a verbal argument in their centrally located home and the accused allegedly grabbed the victim and pushed her.

11) A 41-year old male was arrested on the 7th of July and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by slapping her and shoving her. The incident occurred in the victim’s west end residence.

12) A 23-year old male was arrested and charged on the 8th of July with one cont of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at his ex-girlfriends address and the two of them became involved in an argument. It is alleged that the accused then cut the phone line and cable line to the victim’s home.

16 Yr Old Charged With Assault

A 16-year old youth was arrested on the 8th of July and charged with one count of assault, one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that the accused punched a wall in a residence and also shoved an adult who was in the residence. The accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good. The youth will appear in court on August 8th.

Mischief

On the 9th of July a 16-year old youth was arrested and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that the accused damaged a closet door in a residence causing one of the hinges to come off. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good. The accused will appear in court on August 15th.

Break & Enters

City Police received a number of reports of break and enters over the weekend:

1) On the 7th of July a number of offices were broken into at 123 March Street. An office belonging to the Ministry of the Attorney General was broken into and a 27-inch television was taken. Thieves also broke into an office belonging to Canada Post and attempted to break into the Iron Workers office. The break and enters occurred between 5 pm on the 6th of July and 9 am on the 7th.

2) A home in the 100 block of Huntington Park was entered sometime on the 5th and reported on the 7th of July. It is unknown if anything was taken.

3) A garage in the 100 block of Goulais Avenue was entered overnight on the 6th and at the time of the report it is unknown what exactly was taken.

4) Sometime between 1 pm and 3:30 pm on the 7th of July persons broke into a home in the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue. It does not appear that anything was taken but some damage was done when entry was forced into the home.

5) A residence in the 200 block of Cathcart Street was entered between the 6th and 7th of July and a cell phone was taken as well as a Discman.

6) A home on Walls Road was entered sometime between 4 pm and 6 pm on the 9th of July. Entry was gained but it appears that the thieves were scared off and nothing was taken.

7) Sometime between 12 noon and 6 pm thieves brook into a home in the 1200 block of Town Line Road and coins were taken.

8) Sometime between 3 pm and 11 pm on the 9th of July thieves broke into a residence in the 300 block of Dacey Road and stole a computer and DVD player.
