Arrest:
A 37 year old female was arrested this afternoon and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that female assaulted her 3 year old daughter by shaking her. The incident occurred in a parking lot in the city’s central area and was witnessed by several people who contacted police. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim. The accused will appear in court on Monday February 11, 2013.

A residence in the 100 block of Farquhar Street was entered earlier today. Items taken include a Play Station 3, an Ipod, jewellery and an undisclosed amount of change.

A 25 year old female was arrested for 3 counts of breaching her recognizance. It is alleged she communicated with a male complainant on 2 separate occasions as well as attending to his residence. These charges stem from an initial domestic related occurrence. She will be appearing in bail court later this morning.

City Police attended to a Break and Enter in the 200 block of Fourth Line West. Thieves entered an unlocked shed at the rear of the residence and stole 4 snow machine tracks from a Polaris 4 wheeler. The theft occurred sometime between the 4th and 6th of January.
