NAME: SHARP, DAMIEN WAYNE

ALSO KNOWN AS: WING, DAMIEN WAYNE FLEMING, DAMIEN WAYNE

AGE: 19

DECRIPTION: WHITE MALE 5’8” APPROX. 146LBS., BROWN HAIR
BLUE EYES.

CHARGES: ROBBERY, POINTING A FIREARM, WEARING A DISGUISE, POSSESSION OF WEAPONS DANGEROUS, USE A FIREARM AND BREACH OF PROBATION.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in locating Mr. Sharp who is wanted on the above noted charges that stem from the January 15th robbery of Wardlaw Fuels.

Sharp is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Any member of the public having information as to his whereabouts are advised to avoid any contact and to notify the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 949-6300 extension 210, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or 911 if his whereabouts are know immediately.

5 Domestic Related Charges

A 25-year old male was arrested on January 22nd and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that that male pushed the female into a wall. The victim did not sustain any injuries. The incident occurred in a centrally located address.

A 35-year old male was arrested on January 20th and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused and his wife got into a verbal argument, which resulted in the accused pushing the female. No injuries were sustained in the incident, which occurred at their east end residence.

On the 20th of January an 18-year-old male was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, one count of possession for the purpose dangerous to the public and one count of pointing a firearm. It is alleged that in January of this year the accused grabbed the victim by her arm. In July of last year the accused allegedly assaulted the victim by grabbing her arm and by punching her in the stomach. It is further alleged that in January of this year the accused pointed a bb gun at the victim.

A 33-year old male was arrested early this morning and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on January 22nd the accused and his girlfriend got into an argument. It is alleged that the accused grabbed the victim’s hand after she slapped him and then bit her hand.

A 24-year old male was arrested on Saturday and charged with two counts of breach of a release order. It is alleged that on Friday the 20th the accused contacted the victim by phone, in addition to contacting the victim on the internet. At the time the accused was on release orders not to communicate with his ex-girlfriend.

21-year old Stephen Moor of 100 Tilley Road was arrested on Sunday for outstanding fraud related warrants from 2002. When officers arrested the accused on the warrants they learned that the accused was on a release order with a number of conditions including notify change of address, reside in New Market as well as a curfew hour. The accused has been charged with 4 counts of breach of a release order, one count of fail to appear in court, 9 counts of fraud, 7 counts of false pretence, three count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of forgery and one count of uttering a forged document.

Drinking and Driving Related Offences

40-year old John Kernaghan of 15 Fish Hatchery Road was arrested and charged on the 20th of January with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that around 9:30 pm patrol officers observed the accused driving his vehicle in the downtown area with no lights on. When officers stopped the vehicle they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. He will appear in court on February 27th.

21-year old Eric Ramsay of 139 Anna Street was arrested on the 21st of January just after 2 am. It is alleged that the accused was traveling northbound on Great Northern Road and was observed by patrol officers to be weaving on the road. Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. He has been charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. He will appear in court on February 27th.

Officers arrested 47-year old Gerry Pine of 318 Albert Street East just before 6 pm on Friday evening. It is alleged that the accused was behind the wheel of his vehicle in the Wellington Square Mall parking lot and an alert citizen called the police. Officers arrested the accused, who was under the influence of alcohol and charged him with one count of impaired driving. He will appear in court on February 27th.

29-year old Jason Michaud of 2-35 Hughes Street was arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on January 22nd, just after 3:30 am, patrol officers observed the accused driving a vehicle at a high rate of speed on Northern Avenue. The vehicle was stopped on Reid Street and the accused showed signs of impairment. The accused will appear in court on February 27th.

28-year old Robert Quenville of 49 London Street was arrested on January 22nd and charged with one count of resist arrest, two counts of assault police officer, one count of cause a disturbance by being drunk, one count of assault and one count of mischief. It is alleged that while the accused was at the Top Hat Billiards at 654 Queen Street East he assaulted a staff member by throwing 4 glasses and a jug of beer at the person after being asked to leave. When officers attended the accused failed to identify himself. When taken into custody it is alleged that the accused resisted the officers in addition to kicking one officer in the leg and spitting in the face of another officer. The accused will appear in court on February 27th.

Break and Enters

On January 22nd a residence in the 700 block of Pine Street was entered. The only think taken was a black bicycle. The incident occurred between 10 pm on the 21st and 5 am on the 22nd.

On the 22nd of January a homeowner in the 500 block of Connaught Avenue reported that their house and garage had been entered. At the time of the report the homeowner thought that the only things missing were car parts and a washer and dryer.
