Domestic Related Arrest
A 22 year-old female and a 40 year-old male were arrested on Saturday evening in regards to being together when on recognizance conditions that they not communicate or associate with each other due to past domestic related incidents. They have both been charged with one count of breach of a release document. The female was further charged with one count assault and one count of breach of probation for assaulting her surety that discovered the two together on that day. The victim received non-life threatening injures that did not require any medical attention. Both are appearing in bail court this morning.

Female Youth Arrested for Assaulting Parents
A 15 year-old female was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 8th of January and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 6th of January the youth got into a verbal argument with her parents at their residence and assaulted them. The accused is to attend in court on the 8th of February.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
On the 9th of January, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Brooks Warmington at his residence on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of fail to appear for prints. It is alleged that on the 16th of November 2010 the accused failed to attend at the police station for prints.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
On the 8th of January officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Shelbie Zaldiner of #130-345 St. Georges Avenue East on an outstanding warrant and charged her with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that the accused fail to appear in court on the 1st of November 2010.

Robbery Investigation
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred on the 8th of January at approximately 3:34 am at the Mac’s Mart on Wellington Street West. It is alleged that a lone male attended at the store at 3:28 am with a black ski mask covering his face, brandishing a knife and robbed the till of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot. Police searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating him. The clerk was not physically injured.

The male suspect was described as approximately 5’9-5’11”, 19-23 years of age, with dark coloured hair, wearing a black ski mask, black nylon jacket with fur on the collar, black jeans, black gloves with yellow stripes and black DC running shoes.

Break and Enter
An apartment was in the 400 block of Cathcart Street was broken into on the 9th of January. Nothing was reported stolen.
