Gift card theft City police received a report of a theft of gift cards from an office at an apartment complex on Dacey Rd. It is reported that Christmas cards containing the gift cards were left in the office last Tuesday.

City police received a report of a theft of gift cards from an office at an apartment complex on Dacey Rd.  It is reported that Christmas cards containing the gift cards were left in the office last Tuesday.  It was not known until today that the intended recipients did not receive the cards.  The total value of the cards was $300.

Jewerly stolen from luggage

Jewelry was reported stolen by an individual returning from the Bahamas.  It is alleged that approximately $400 worth of jewelry was packed in the complainant’s luggage when leaving the Bahamas and upon arrival back in Sault Ste. Marie the jewelry was gone.

Break in:

An apartment was reported to have been broken into in the 200 block of Albert Street East.  Christmas presents and cards were reported stolen.

Arrest:

On December 23, 2012 a male age 54 was arrested for 2 charges of assault involving domestic related matters. The accused allegedly choked the victim on or between the 12th of December and the 13th of December.  On the 22nd of December the accused slapped the victim in the face. The accused will appear in bail court on December 24, 2012 at 10:00am.

Arrest:

On December 23, 2012 at approximately 8:00 pm, a city bus driver was assaulted by two passengers exiting his bus. The two males, 19 year old Jordy Doyon of 407 Dovercourt Road and his brother Dylan Doyon 21 years old of 50 Fish Hatchery Road were intoxicated and causing a disturbance on the bus.  They were asked to exit the bus. While exiting, they both pushed the driver numerous times before leaving.  The brothers were located a short time later by police and each charged with assault.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:  (Thefts, Mischief Reports, etc.):

Cash was taken from a residence in the 200 block of Hugill Street this evening. Entry was gained by prying open a window sometime between 6:00 and 11:00 pm while the homeowner was out.
