Two Bail Court Appearances: 1) 25 year-old Daniel Lemelin of 62 Hebert Street in Quebec was arrested on the 13th of December at 1:52 pm Zellers in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00.
Two Bail Court Appearances:

1) 25 year-old Daniel Lemelin of 62 Hebert Street in Quebec was arrested on the 13th of December at 1:52 pm Zellers in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that he attended at the store around 1:10 pm and stole a Sony Walkman and headphones. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 39 year-old Donald Cory of 114 Wellington Street West was arrested on the 11th of December on an outstanding warrant at the court house. He is charged with one count of fail to appear court and is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:

42 year-old Patrice Gregoire of 671 Queen Street West (rear) was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 13th of December at 4:15 pm on Huron Street and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that he assaulted a female known to him back in August. The victim received non-life threatening injures at that time as a result of the assault. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of January.

Impaired Driver Arrested:

51 year-old Barry Beharriell of 293 Fifth Line East was arrested on the 13th of December at 1:24 am on Fourth Line West and charged with one count of drive while disqualified, one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 13th of December at approximately 12:50 am the accused was operating a 1993 Nissan Pick-up on Goulais Avenue when he lost control and collided into a snow bank near Fourth Line West. The vehicle became stuck and the accused attempted to get the vehicle out. Police attended on scene and found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol. At the time of the incident the accused was disqualified from driving. He is to appear in court on the 18th of January.

Male Arrested for Thefts:

33 year-old Darren Quinn of 488 Bush Street (basement) wanted for theft related incidents was arrested on the 12th of December at 7:55 pm on Queen Street East after calling police to turn himself in. He was charged with one count of theft over $5,000, 00, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 12th of December between midnight and 7:30 am the accused stole a purse of a female known to him, as well as her 2001 Ford Taurus from her residence on Bush Street. It is further alleged that the accused later attended at the victim’s bank and used her VISA card to withdraw some cash from her account. A t the time of the incidents, the accused was on a recognizance order to keep the peace and be good. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of January.

Arrest at Local Youth Residence:

A 13 year-old male youth was arrested on the 13th of December at 5:37 pm at a Youth Home and charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon. It is alleged that the youth was found in possession of a knife that opens with centrifugal force at the home. He is to appear in court on the 19th of January.

Two Domestic Related Arrests:

1) A 33 year-old male was arrested on the 13th of December at 5:36 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 13th of December at approximately 2:30 am the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend while in his vehicle at his residence. The accused is to appear in court on the 27th of January.

2) A 40 year-old male was arrested on the 12th of December at 10:45 pm on St. Georges Avenue and charged with two count of assault peace officer and one count of resist peace officer. It is alleged around 10:40 pm city police were stopped in parking lot on St. Georges Avenue when a female pulled her vehicle into the lot to speak to officers. The female’s common law partner was in the back of her vehicle, in an intoxicated condition and in an agitated state. The female was concerned for her safety and wanted the male removed. When police attempted to speak to him, the accused became violent, kicking and punching at officers and continuously resisting them. He is to appear in court on the 18th of January.

City Police Respond to Snow Machine and Vehicle Collision on Red Rock Road:

On the 12th of December 1:45 am City Police responded to a collision that involved a snow machine and a vehicle the resulted in the 31 year-old male snow machine operator being sent to hospital by ambulance for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injures. The snow machine, a 2000 Ski-Doo, was travelling southbound on Red Rock Road and the vehicle, a 1998 Dodge 7500 Taxi Caravan, was travelling northbound when the collision occurred. The cab had two passengers in it at the time of the collision, and no injuries were reported to any persons in the cab. The cab received a moderate amount of damage and the snow machine was demolished. The operator of the snow machine, 31 year-old Brent Avery of 1297 Town Line Road was charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with one count of driving left to centre crest of grade – no clear view.

Ride Results: The Festive RIDE Program was on Saturday evening. There were 751 vehciles checked with two roadside tests administered. No other charges were laid.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter:

A residence in the 300 block of Old Garden River Road was entered on the 12thof December between 4 pm and 1:27 am on the 13th. Cash, a flat screen television, a Play station 3 and a Laptop were reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• A propane tank was reported stolen from the backyard of a residence on Jemmette Street.
• A vehicle parked at the Station Mall on Saturday had the windshield wipers stolen.
• A vehicle was entered on Aronson Drive and a MT50 Camera and 2 lenses were stolen.
• A garage on Cheshire Road and a Delivery truck inside was entered and a bar fridge, a microwave, a welding machine, several Compaq computer towers with a box of keyboards were reported stolen.

Mischief Reports:

• A hammer was thrown at a vehicle parked on Sackville Road sometime overnight on the 12th of December.
• A small shack at the end of the Locks on Canal Drive was damaged.
