Police Pursuit City Police arrested three persons early Sunday morning after being involved in a police pursuit. It is alleged that the three accused broke into the Beaver Gas Station located at Trunk Rd and Lake St. and refused to stop for police.

City Police arrested three persons early Sunday morning after being involved in a police pursuit. It is alleged that the three accused broke into the Beaver Gas Station located at Trunk Rd and Lake St. and refused to stop for police. The vehicle was subsequently stopped in the area of Fourth Line W. and Moss Rd. Upon being stopped one accused fled into the bush area and the other two resisted police. One of the accused jumped into the police car and attempted to steal it. All three persons were eventually located and restrained.

James Bolan Sr., Age 40 of 238 Cathcart St. He is charged with Theft Over $ 5,000.00, Possession of Stolen Property X2, Dangerous Driving, Fail to Stop for Police, Break and Enter, and Breach of Recognizance. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Darryl Jean Beauchesne, Age 24 – no fixed address at this time. He is charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property X2. He will be appearing in Court on Monday Jan 16th at 9:00 AM.

The third accused, a youth, is charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property X3, Theft Over $ 5,000.00 and Resist Arrest. He will be appearing in Court on Tuesday Jan 17th at9:30 AM.

As a result of this incident three police vehicles were damaged. One vehicle suffered extensive damage.

Theft and Mischief

City Police are investigating a theft and mischief complaint that took place at the Tri Laundromat located at 701 Pine St. Late Sunday evening unknown persons entered the laundromat and damaged the washers and dryers in attempting to steal money from the machines. The culprits caused damage in excess of $ 1,000.00 in getting a small amount of change. At this time it is not known exactly how much money was stolen. Anyone noticing anyone cashing/exchanging large amounts of coin is asked to contact the City Police. Anyone with information on this incident is requested to contact the City Police or Crimestoppers.
