The following three persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) 42 year-old Jessy Mandino of 1265 Highway 7 in Woodbridge Ontario was arrested on the 24th of August at 12:55 pm on Alexandra Street and charged with two counts of threaten
The following three persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 42 year-old Jessy Mandino of 1265 Highway 7 in Woodbridge Ontario was arrested on the 24th of August at 12:55 pm on Alexandra Street and charged with two counts of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of assault, one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that from the 10th to the 23rd of August the accused was temporarily staying with a male friend known to him at his downtown residence and when he was asked to leave he threatened to do bodily harm to him. It is further alleged that between the 18th of August and the 22nd of August the accused at the same residence, also threatened to do bodily harm to a female guest of the first victim, assaulted her by kicking her in the face and stomach area and then stole her purse.

2) A 32 year-old male was arrested on the 24th of August at 11:10 pm, on Dennis Street and charged with two counts of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that between July of 2006 and the 24th of August 2007 the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend at her west-end residence by pulling her hair, punching her and throwing her around. The accused threatened to kill her as well. It is further alleged that sometime from the 1st of August to the 14th of August the accused assaulted the same victim by sitting on her, putting his hand in her mouth and attempted to choke her. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention.

3) A 14 year-old female was arrested on Langdon Road on outstanding warrants and charged with one count of mischief and one count of assault with a weapon.

Impaired Driving

1) 22 year-old Margaret Donnelly of 28 Strathcona Drive in North Bay Ontario was arrested on the 25th of August at 2:20 am on Carmen’s Way and John Street and charged with one count of take auto without consent, one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that the accused was out with friends drinking at a local bar when she took the keys to a vehicle belonging to one of the friends without permission, left the bar with a male friend and got into the vehicle and drove off in it. The accused lost control of the Buick SUV on John Street and Carmen’s Way when she struck the curb and drove into the ditch. When police attended at the scene it is alleged that the accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused driver and a 23 year-old male passenger were transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle received major damage. The accused is to appear in court on the 1st of October.

2) 46 year-old Shelagh Dowding of 314 Spadina Avenue was arrested on the 25th of August at 8:15 pm and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 25th of August around 8:02 pm the accused was observed driving her vehicle erratically on Carmen’s Way and People’s Road. The witness which was operating another vehicle that the accused almost struck followed the vehicle until it came to a stop at the stop sign at Peoples Road at Fourth Line. The witness approached the vehicle and took the vehicle keys from the ignition and called police. When police attended, it is alleged that they found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused is to appear in court on the 1st of October.

Assault

A 39 year-old male was arrested on the 25th of August at 6:25 pm at a downtown residence and charged with two count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife at their downtown residence by pushing a coffee table into her and pushed her. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of October.

Attempted Fraud & Possession of Stolen Property

32 year-old Joshua Taylor of 264 Conmee Avenue was arrested on the 24th of August around 12:20 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of empty envelope fraud and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused attended at the CIBC Bank on Queen Street East and used a credit card belonging to another person and made an empty envelope deposit for $500.00. The accused was captured on video in the bank at the time. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of September.

The following break and enters were reported over the weekend:

1) A residence on Letcher Avenue was entered on the 24th of August overnight. Three guitars were reported stolen.

2) A residence on Church Street was entered sometime between the 22nd of August after 7:30 pm and the 25th of August. Nothing was stolen.

3) A residence on Albert Street West was entered sometime on the 25th of August between 11:30 pm and 2 am. A DVD /VCR player, a necklace, assorted CD’S and some groceries were reported stolen.

4) There was an attempt break and enter reported to a shed on Bruce Street on the 25th of August. Nothing was taken.

The following are some of the mischief reports that taken over the weekend:

1) There was damage done several of the putting greens at the Sault Golf Country Club on Queen Street East. Holes appeared to have been dug on the greens sometime overnight on the 25th of August.

2) A vehicle’s driver’s side door and hood were keyed on Palace Drive sometime on the 25th of August.

3) An apartment door of a home on Albert Street West was damaged during the evening on the 25th of August.

4) Two large planters were thrown on the roadway in front of a residence on Pine Street overnight on the 25th of August.

5) Some time overnight on the 25th of August, a vehicle window was smashed and the steering column was damaged. The vehicle was parked at an apartment building on Cooper Street.
