The following four persons are to appear in bail court this morning:

1) 41 year-old Dwayne Guy of no fixed address was arrested on the 23rd of August at 1:10 am on Albert Street East and charged with break, enter and commit, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 23rd of August at around 1:10 am the accused, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for break and enter from the 30th of July, was spotted by city police riding his bike on Albert Street East. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of a small amount of cocaine. The accused was also on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify any change in address and he had not done so.

2) 33 year-old Andrew Jackson of # 4-700 Pine Street was arrested on the 24th of August at 3:36 am on Brock Street and charged with one count of break, enter with intent to commit and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 22nd of August around 2 am the accused broke into the Precious Blood Cathedral on Queen Street East. The accused left empty handed and was located by police walking on Brock Street on the 24th of August and arrested. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

3) 28 year-old Adam Warren of 615 Placid Avenue was arrested on the 23rd of August at 2:51 on Euclid Street after police observed him walking with difficulty on Euclid Street. It is alleged that the accused was intoxicated at the time and when police ran a check on him he was on release conditions not to consume any alcohol and to be in his residence, except for employment, medical or counseling purposes. He was also on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
He was charged with two counts of breach of recognizance, one count of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in a public place.

4) A 32 year-old male was arrested on the 24th of August at 11:45 pm at a centrally located residence as a result of a domestic related incident and was charged with one count of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 24th of August at 10:40 pm the accused threatened to kill his common law partner and assaulted her at their residence by grabbing her and attempting to choke her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

Male Arrested regarding Firearm Offences:

39 year-old James Guertin of Trunk Road was arrested at a local Motel on the 24th of August at 1:41 am after officers received information that he was in possession of a rifle at the motel room and had pointed it at two persons, one known to him, when they stopped by to visit. It is alleged that when officers attended the motel and took the accused into custody without incident, he was found in possession of ammunition for a .22 rifle in his pocket. Officers searched the room, located and seized a .22 caliber rifle. At the time, the accused was not authorized to possess the firearm.
He was charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to public, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count of careless use or storage of a firearm. He is to appear in court on the 29th of September.

Alert to Public:

City police received a complaint from an elderly resident on Sackville Road that on the 24th of August at approximately 1:45 pm she discovered a female that was not known to her, standing in her apartment. The female offered to sell her some cigarettes. The complainant gave the female an agreed amount of money and was told by the female that she was going to leave and would return soon with the cigarettes. When the female did not return, the complainant notified city police. There was one other similar type of complaint back in May of this year with the same description of the suspect given.
Description of the female suspect is approximately 40 years of age, 5’2”, dark hair and complexion, medium build and wearing square blue framed glasses.

Theft of a Purse

City police received a theft of a purse complaint on the 22nd of August at around 6:52 pm at the Pine Street Laundromat. A female that was folding some laundry at the Pine Street Laundromat had her purse that was on the table beside her, stolen by a male who fled on a bike toward Chapple Street. The incident was captured on store video surveillance and city police are attempting to identify the suspect and continue to investigate the incident.
The male was described as white, approximately 20 years of age, 6’1” with an oval shaped face with pock marks, a skinny build and shaved head. He was wearing a baseball hat, a dark green football type of jersey with the number 18 on it.

Vehicles were entered over the weekend:

• In the 900 block of Fifth Line East – camera and GPS Unit stolen
• In the 100 block of Second Line West – owner’s package from the MTO for the vehicle was stolen.
• 500 block of Wilson Street – stolen was a black leather wallet containing some cash and ID.

Break and Enter Reports:

• The Superior Asphalt Markings compound was entered sometime after 5 pm on Friday evening. The gate was forced opened and 2 gas operated generators were stolen out of vehicles.
• An alarm at Counterforce on Sixth Line was activated on the 24th of August at 5:58 pm and a shed was discovered entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

Mischief Reports:

• A rear window of a vehicle parked in the apartment complex on Old Garden River Road was smashed sometime overnight on the 24th of August.
• The bus shelter near the Champlain and Cambrian Mall area was damaged.
• A window of a vehicle that was parked on Leo Avenue was smashed out around 5 am on the 24th of August.
• Paint was thrown on a vehicle parked on Robin Street on the 23rd of August.
