The Joint Forces Drug Unit Makes Another Bust At approx. 8:30 PM yesterday evening the Sault Ste Marie Police Service along with the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at 110 Breton Rd. Apt. #1.
The Joint Forces Drug Unit Makes Another Bust

At approx. 8:30 PM yesterday evening the Sault Ste Marie Police Service along with the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at 110 Breton Rd. Apt. #1. As a result of the search a male tenant was arrested and charged with several offences. It is alleged that the accused, Kevoughn Alleyne, was in possession of approx. 12.6 grams of Crack Cocaine, 1.1 grams of Cocaine, 3.3 grams of Marihuana and a rifle that had been reported stolen from a break and enter. Kevoughn Seon Alleyne, age 21, of 110 Breton Rd. Apt. #1, is charged with three counts of Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, one count of Possession of a Substance, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. The estimated street value of the drugs is approx. $1440.00. The accused will be appearing in bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

38 Year Old Charged With Assault

Yesterday morning City Police attended at a residence in the west end of the city regarding an assault. Upon arrival officers arrested a 38-year-old male and charged him with Assault. The accused is alleged to have repeatedly pushed and thrown a weight at his common-law girlfriend. The victim did not require medical attention as a result of the assault. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

24 Year Old Assaults Common Law Girlfriend

A 24 year-old-male was arrested yesterday morning in regards to an assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by grabbing her by the throat and shoving her. The assault took place at a centrally located address. The victim did not require medical attention as a result of the assault. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept. 20th at 9:00 AM on a charge of Assault.

14 Year Olds Steal Nissan

On Saturday Aug 12th at approx. 4:00 AM City Police received a report of a 1995 Nissan Altima being stolen. At approx 6:45 PM on Aug 12th City Police located a 14-year-old male in the vehicle on Great Northern Rd. The youth was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a second 14-year-old youth. Both youths were charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The two accused will be appearing in court on Tuesday Sept. 19th at 9:30 AM.

Motor Vehicle Collision On Albert St E.

At approx. 2:05 AM Aug 12th City Police attended at the intersection of East St. and Albert St.E. in regards to a motor vehicle collision. It is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, 35-year-old Tanya Trudeau, was driving a van on East St. when she lost control of her van and struck a utility pole.

Further investigation by the officers resulted in the arrest of Ms Trudeau for Impaired Driving and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample. The accused received minor injuries as a result of her motor vehicle collision. Tanya Trudeau, age 35, of 162 Pim St. will be appearing in court on Monday Sept. 18th at 9:00 AM.

Impaired Driver Hits Vehicle At Casino

On Aug 13th at approx. 1:45 AM City Police attended at the Casino parking lot in regards to a motor vehicle collision. It is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, 25-year-old Adam Harris, of 61 Bloomfield Dr., London, Ont., was under the influence of alcohol, while he was backing his vehicle up and he struck a parked car. Adam Harris is charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80mgs. He will be appearing in court on Monday Sept 18th at 9:00 AM.

Cyclist Struck By Vehicle

On Saturday Aug 13th at approx. 8:45 PM City Police attended on Dacey Rd. regarding a cyclist being struck by a car. As a result of the collision a 12-year-old youth was taken to hospital by ambulance. The incident is still under investigation by the Police.
