Bail Court 1) A 22 year old male will appear in bail court today charged with threatening death and threatening to destroy property. It is alleged that on the 31st of March 2009 these threats were made during an argument.

1) A 22 year old male will appear in bail court today charged with threatening death and threatening to destroy property. It is alleged that on the 31st of March 2009 these threats were made during an argument. The accused was also on probation at the time of the occurrence with one of the conditions being that he not communicate with or be at the residence of the victim. He is charged with 6 breaches of his probation order as well.

2) A 31 year old male will appear charged with three counts of assault and one count of forcible confinement. It is alleged that over a period of a couple of months starting on the 12 January 2009 the accused and his common law girlfriend had several arguments leading to the victim being assaulted. After an argument on the 02 April 2009 the victim attempted to leave and while packing some clothing was assaulted and prevented from leaving.
On the 03 April 2009 the accused started to argue with the victim again and grabbed her by the neck. The victim was able to get out of the residence to walk her child to the bus stop at which time she called police. The accused will be in bail court at 10:00 today.

3) A 14 year old male will appear in court on the 05 May 2009 charged with break and enter as well as assault. It is alleged that on the 05 April 2009 at approx. 12:30 am the accused broke into a business located in the Churchill Plaza. The accused entered the Savings World store by throwing a rock through the front window then smashing a display case. Upon exiting the store the accused was confronted by three citizens of whom he assaulted on of them and then escaped. He was located by police one block away and arrested.

4) A 14 and a 16 year old male were apprehended on the 04 April 2009 at approx. 12:27 am at a residence in the east end. Police were responding to the Eastern Ave. area with regards to person going through cars. While in route a resident called and stated 2 males had just broken into his garage and he was holding them. Upon police arrival and searching of the accused, the 16 year old male was found to be in possession of a small amount of marihuana and also charged with that offence. Both accused will appear in court on the 05 May 2009 charged with the break and enter.

5) Michael Zotoff age 53 of 145 Pim St. was arrested on the 05 April 2009 at 3:30 pm and charged with impaired operation and consume over the legal limit. The accused was operating a vehicle and was stopped in a parking lot on Bay St. by police. He will appear in court on the 11 May 2009.

6) On the 05 April 2009 at approx 10:30 am police made a vehicle stop on Pine St. This was with regards to an erratic driving complaint. The driver was given a test on a road side screening device test of which she failed. The accused was transported to the Police station where she given another test on the intoxilyzer machine. The accused 22 year old Amanda Jean Beaudry of 169 Brookfield was charged with consume over the legal limit and will appear in court on the 11 May 2009.

Break and Enters

Police are investigating a break in to a residence in the 200 block of St. George’s Avenue west. This occurred on the 05 April 2009. Entry was gained to the home where a quantity of frozen food was removed from the freezer.

Robbery

Police officers were dispatched to the Mac’s Convenience Store located at 2200 Queen St. east this morning at approx. 2:41 am. The clerk advised that a male had entered the store and demanded the cash from the till as well as some scratch lottery tickets and some cigarettes. The male who was wearing a red hoodie, and also had a green plaid jacket over his head and face. He was also and wearing black tear away track pants. The male is described as being 6 ft. tall male, heavy set approx. 30-35 years of age. The male fled on foot and the canine unit was called to assist but with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
