Man faces assault charges

On Aug. 4, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18-year-old John Tremblay of no fixed address in relation to a mischief and assault.

It is alleged that on Aug. 4, the accused damaged a vehicle belonging to a person known to him by striking it with a rock. The accused later took a shovel and began swinging it at the owner of the vehicle striking him in the hip with the shovel.

The accused was later located by police and arrested. He has been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of assault with a weapon. He will appear in court on Sept. 11, 2017.
