On Aug. 17, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 39-year-old Joseph Premo on outstanding warrants.
On the morning of Aug. 17, 2019 officers observed the accused walking in the west end of the city and knew him to be wanted on an outstanding charge of fail to appear. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants.
After the arrest officers conducted a search of the accused and found him to be in possession of a small amount of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine.
He is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. He was held for bail court.
