On July 6, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24-year-old Rishabh Sinha of Beaumont Avenue for impaired driving.
It is alleged that at approximately 2:30 a.m. the accused was operating a motor vehicle in the 0-100 block of Queen Street West while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. The accused was involved in a minor collision with another motor vehicle in that area. After the collision, the accused continued driving eastbound away from the scene.
Officers located and stopped the vehicle a short time later in the 100-block of Wellington Street West. The accused was still operating the vehicle at that time and he was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on August 2, 2018.
