A local man has been arrested for allegedly making threats against a Sault Police officer in a local Facebook group.

Someone phoned 911 on the morning of March 29 to report the threats, police said this morning in a news release.

Officers were dispatched to the suspect’s residence, where the person was arrested “without incident.”

Tyler Kennedy, 36, is charged with uttering threats and failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Kennedy is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
