On Oct. 7, 2017, officers assigned to the R.I.D.E program arrested 27-year-old Robert Laframboise of Second Line West for an impaired driving related offence.

It is alleged that just after 11 p.m., the accused was operating his motor vehicle on Wellington Street West and was stopped for a R.I.D.E check. Officers developed grounds to believe that the accused had consumed alcohol and a request was made for him to provide a sample of his breath into an approved screening device.

The device registered a fail and the accused was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on Nov. 20, 2017.
