Heavy police presence on Walters Street

Police recommend avoiding the area as they conduct an investigation in conjunction with the Canadian Border Services Agency

Two people were taken into custody on Walters Street Wednesday afternoon.

The Drug Enforcement and Crime Supression Units of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, with the assistance of the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), are currently conducting an investigation in the 0-100 block of Walters Street.

At this time there is a heavy police presence in the area. Sault Police advise there is no threat to public safety but recommend avoiding the area.
