Two Impaired Driving Related Arrests:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 22 year-old Nora Pine of 84 Sweet Grass Street Garden River on the 15th of September at 2:36 am on Black Road and charged her with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that at approximately 2:22 am the accused was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Black Road and drove the vehicle into the ditch. Officers attended on scene and discovered the accused driver to be under influence of alcohol. The accused failed the roadside screening device test and was subsequently charged. She is to appear in court on the 17th of October.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 42 year-old Derek Bell of L226-168 Hwy 17E Garden River on the 16th of September at 2:15 am on Albert Street and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 16th of September officers attended at a residence in the 200 block of Albert Street West in response to suspicious male complaint. They located the male inside a vehicle when they arrived and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. A roadside test was administered and the accused registered a fail. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of October.
