Domestic Related Arrest: A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 30th of October at 6 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation.
Domestic Related Arrest:

A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 30th of October at 6 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law spouse at their residence and assaulted her pushing her, pinning her down and slapping her in the face. No injuries were reported.

Three Youths Arrested for Incidents at Local Youth Homes:

A 12 year-old male youth was arrested on the 30th of October at 6:56 pm at a local Youth Home and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted tow staff members after becoming agitated at the home. One of the staff members was pushed down a small flight of stairs, one staff member had their hair pulled and the accused attempted to bite both of them. The accused also smashed a window. No injuries were reported.

Two 15 year-old female youths were arrested at a local Youth Home on30th of October at 9:23 pm and both charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief. It is alleged that the two females overturned and damaged furniture in the home. It is also alleged that one of the females threw a phone at a staff member and the other threw a shoe another staff member that attempted to intervene. No injuries were reported. One of the youths was further charged with breach of a release document as at the time she was on recognizance conditions not to molest, harass or annoy any of the staff members at the home. She is to appear in bail court this morning and the other accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of December.

A 12 year-old male was arrested on the 30th of October at 5:28 pm on Korah Road and charged with one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 30th of October just after 5 pm the accused broke a vehicle window of a staff member at a local Youth Home. City police located the youth approximately 20 minutes later walking on Korah Road. He is to appear in court on the 2nd of December.

Shoplifter Arrested:

38 year-old Deborah Marino of 682 Albert Street West (rear) was arrested on the 30th of October at 12:28 at Rome’s Independent Grocers and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 30th of October just after noon the accused attended at the Grocers and stole a radio docking station, some bed sheets and four reusable Rome’s shopping bags. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. When police ran a check on her they discovered that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft from another shoplifting incident in December 2007. She is to appear in court on the 1st of December.

Property Crimes:


City police were extremely busy last night taking several mischief calls that appear to be Devil’s Night related.

- Four youths were arrested last night around 9:34 pm in the area of St. Georges Avenue near Maple Street after city police were called that area regarding these youths throwing rocks at passing vehicles on St. Georges Avenue. One of the vehicles did receive minor damage during the incident. The youths were all located by city police running away from the area on their arrival. The youths, all males were dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act Youth Referral and Diversion Program.

- City police are correctly investigating several mischief reports in the areas of Meadow Park Crescent and Lorranine Avenue involving three youths that spray painted vehicles, homes, and other property at numerous residences. Homes and vehicles were also egged during the mischief spree. There are at least ten separate complainants at this time and it is not known how many more are involved or the total dollar amount of damage there will be. Officers are working on identifying the youths responsible.

- A vehicle on Northland Road was damaged.
- A front porch window was damaged at a residence on Salisbury Avenue when something was thrown through it.
- The bus shelter on North Street was damaged.
- A house on Rosedale Place was egged.
- Two youths pulled the drain pipe off a portable at Grandview School on Denwood Avenue.
- A vehicle on St. Basil’s Drive was egged.
- A residence on Breton Road was egged.

Theft Reports:

- A Kona Blast bicycle was stolen on Pine Street.
- A gym bag and a lunch bag full of medication was stolen out of a vehicle parked on Atwater Street.
- A cell phone and sunglasses were taken out of a vehicle on Morin Street.
- Vehicles parked on Gehrig and John Street were also entered. A flat screen television, a Compac computer, sunglasses and change were reported stolen.

Break and Enter Reports:

An apartment on Grace Street was entered sometime overnight on the 30th of October. The apartment was trashed X Box controllers and approximately 25 X Box games were reported stolen.
It was reported that on the 26th of October unknown persons cut the lock on the back shed of a residence on Primrose Drive and stole 50 foot extension cords. The chain link fence on the property was also damaged when it was cut.
