Domestic Related Arrest:

A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 23rd of October at 7:40 pm at his residence as a result of domestic related incidents. He has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 23rd of October the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law spouse at their residence and assaulted her by kicking her in the back and pinning her against a wall. Officers investigating the incident learned in September the accused struck his spouse in the head with a candle stick and on another day, grabbed her in the face area and pushed her. At the time of the incident the accused was on an undertaking with conditions to notify any change in his address and had moved without notifying police.

Youth Found in Possession of Stolen Licence Plates:

A 17 year-old male youth was arrested on the 23rd of October at around 1 pm and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 23rd of October around 12:20 pm the accused was observed by city police driving a Chev Lumina on Conmee Avenue with stolen licence plates. The plates had been reported stolen from a vehicle that was parked on Queen Street West sometime overnight on the 22nd of October. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Youth Charged for Possession of Marihuana:

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on Angelina Avenue on the 23rd of October at approximately 12:00 pm and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that around 11:43 am City police received a call in regards to some youths possibly smoking drugs in the area of Angelina Avenue. When officers arrived and checked the youths, the accused was found in possession of a small amount of marihuana and drug paraphernalia. He is to appear in court on the 25th of November.

Youth Arrested for Assault at Youth Detention Centre:

A 14 year-old female youth was arrested at a local Youth Detention Centre and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused pushed a Youth Worker. She is to appear in court on the 25th of November.

Two Shoplifters Arrested:

1)50 year-old Russel Barton of 81 Adelaide Street was arrested on the 23rd of October at 4:35 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocers and charged with one count theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on this date around 3:55 pm the accused stole four cans of frozen lobster. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 24th of November.

2)30 year-old Darcy Lebel of 16 Breton Road was arrested on the 23rd of October at 9 am at his residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Source by Circuit City in the Cambrian Mall on the 8th of October around 6:30 pm and stole two wireless camera kits. The incident was captured on store video. The accused is to appear in court on the 8th of December.

Break and Enter Reports:

City police received a call regarding an attempt break to a residence in the 500 block of Charles Street early this morning just before 4 am. A resident called and reported that someone had just broken a window and was attempting to unlock the deadbolt. City police attended and searched the area for the suspect but were unsuccessful.

There was a break and enter reported to a residence eon Willowdale that occurred yesterday between 11:45 am and 3:45 pm. It is does not appear anything was stole.
