Officers seeking the driver in a Collision involving a Pedestrian

Officers with the Traffic Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are continuing an investigation into a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday November 21st at about 6 o’clock p.m.  The incident occurred at the intersection of McNabb Street and Great Northern Road.  It has been reported that a driver making a right hand turn onto Great Northern Road from McNabb Street made contact with a pedestrian crossing the street.  In order to complete the investigation officers would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle.  The vehicle is described as a burgundy Chrysler 300.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Cst. Arrests

27 year old Anthony Link of 27 Terry Fox Place apt 207 was charged with one count of mischief.  It is alleged that Mr. Link damaged a surveillance camera and a wall at the Sault Area Hospital. He will appear in court on December 17th.

30 year old Henry Cadreau of 21 Grosvenor Avenue was arrested just after midnight and charged with one count of breach of his undertaking and one count of breach of probation.  Officers on patrol observed the accused in the downtown area with a person he was on conditions not to be with. He will appear in bail court.

26 year old Jeramie Trumble of 33A Albion was arrested around 1 am this morning after a residence in the 100 block of Wallace Terrace reported a male banging at the door.  Officers found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol.  The accused has been charged with one count of trespass by night and two counts of breach of probation.  He will appear in court on December 24th.

Armed Robbert this Morning

Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Macs Mart 187 Gore St at approximately 6:30 am. Police are still in the area and are requesting that the public try to stay away from this area while they continue the investigation.

 A lone male suspect entered the store and brandished some sort of blade to the clerk.  The suspect, who made off with a small amount of cash is described as short and skinny, wearing a white sweater, black bandana, dark pants and fled on foot. Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call police immediately. 

Property Related

A Hewlett Packard laptop in a black and silver case was taken from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Queen Street East.

A break and enter was reported to a home in the 100 block of Edison Avenue.  Sometime in the afternoon on the 22nd of November the residence was entered.  Items taken include two long guns, a Toshiba laptop, an X-box, a HTC cell phone and money. Several hours later some of the property was located including the firearms.

Last evening several rocks were thrown through the front window of Doggie Styles Pet Grooming on Gore Street breaking the window.
