The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 47 year-old male was arrested at the city police station on the 1st of November at 11:17 pm and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of a release order
The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 47 year-old male was arrested at the city police station on the 1st of November at 11:17 pm and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that on the 31st of October around 11 am the accused was at the court house when he assaulted his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend by elbowing him several times in the ribs. At the time of the incident the accused was on a recognizance order with conditions that he not harass, molest or physically interfere with the victim. No injuries were reported.

2) A 39 year-old male was arrested at 9:21 am at his centrally located residence and charged with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that city police responded to a domestic disturbance at the residence of the accused yesterday morning around 9 am. At the time officers attended the accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol, in a very agitated state and yelling at his common-law partner. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions that he not consume any alcohol and to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

3) A 33 year-old male was arrested on the 1st of November at 10:55 pm at a centrally located residence and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 1st of November at around 10:40 pm the accused attended at the residence of his girlfriend while under the influence of alcohol and got into a verbal argument with her. The girlfriend called police to have him removed and when police attended they found the accused to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

4) 35 year-old Shawn Holder of #10-874 Queen Street East was arrested on the 2nd of November just after midnight on Gore Street and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of breach of a release order and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 1st of November at approximately 11:47 pm the accused attended at the Mac’s Convenience Store on Gore Street and stole nine 550 ml tubs of ice-cream valued at $55.71 from the store. The accused was apprehended outside by a store employee and a witness and held for police.

5) A 15 year-old female was arrested on the 1st of November around 7 pm at her west end residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 30th of October at 2:30 pm the accused attended at the LCBO Store in the Station Mall and stole five bottles of liquor. The accused dropped the bag of liquor when she was confronted by the store employee and fled on foot from the store. The incident was captured on the store video. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Assault & Breach

A 30 year-old male was arrested on the 2nd of November at 1:57 am at an east end residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was at the residence of his 30 year-old sister , became upset when she called police to have him removed and assaulted her by punching her in the face. No injuries were reported. The accused is to appear in court on the 3rd of December.

Theft Under $5,000

25 year-old Michelle Pszeniczny of 189 Tancred Street was arrested on the 1st of November at 2:50 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocer on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on that date around 2:40 pm the accused attended at Rome’s and stole five DVD’S and 2 packages of razor blades. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 10th of December.

Attempted Break & Enter

There was an attempt break and enter reported to a residence on Grandville Crescent yesterday at 2:11 pm. The alarm was activated and no entry was gained.

The following mischief reports were taken yesterday:

1) The bus shelter at North Street and Mary Avenue was severely damage when it was pushed over. This occurred sometime overnight on the 31st of October – 1st of November.

2) Two residences on Thorneloe Crescent were paintballed sometime on the 1st of November.

3) A mailbox on Old Goulais Bay Road was destroyed when a white powdery substance was ignited and caused the mailbox to explode. This occurred sometime during the evening on the 31st of October.

4) A homeowner on Old Goulais Bay Road also found some of the white powdery substance inside his mailbox yesterday morning.
