Drug Bust

On the 16th of November 2012 at approximately 1230, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team, ESU, Patrol Services and Intelligence Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at 310 North Street, the residence of Brian Alfred Currie.  During the search, officers located a total of 19.5 grams of cocaine.  Of that, 11.5 grams of the cocaine were packaged in 23 individual packages for sale at the street level.  In addition, 2.5 grams of cannabis resin; 4.3 grams of cannabis marihuana; various drug paraphernalia (pipes, grinders, rolling papers); and a quantity of Canadian currency were also seized by officers.  The accused, Brian Currie has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in bail court on Monday November 19th.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $2100.00

Bicycle stolen:

In the afternoon on November 15th, 2012 a bicycle was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Glen Avenue.  The bicycle is a BMX Rebok Freakshow with a white frame and red handlebars, lettering and rims.
