Five People for Bail Court: 1) A 33 year old male is in custody subsequent to a domestic incident in which it is alleged that he has engaged in stalking behavior towards his ex-girlfriend.
Five People for Bail Court:

1) A 33 year old male is in custody subsequent to a domestic incident in which it is alleged that he has engaged in stalking behavior towards his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged that he has attempted to contact her via text messaging in excess of 800 times since February of this year. He was subsequently arrested for criminal harassment.

2) 43 year old Jeffrey Chammings of 800 Great Northern Road defrauded a female victim by taking money from her under the guise of paying for her rent. Instead, the accused was alleged to have spent the money on himself. He was also on probation with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. The accused was charged for fraud and breach of probation.

3) 25 year old Andre Henry Laine of 39 Timothy Place, 18 year old Sabrina June Richer-Steele of 89A Chapple Avenue, and a 17 year old female young offender are all awaiting bail court stemming from an alleged incident involving a stolen van.

On the 29 May 2009 at approximately 2:41 a.m. diligent patrol officers spotted a stolen Plymouth van being driving in the Hughes street area. Officers followed the van to Wilcox Street where the above accused occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. They were quickly apprehended after a short foot pursuit.
Andre Henry Lane and Sabrina June Richer-Steele have both been charged with possession of stolen property. They were also on probation at the time with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior and were additionally charged for that breach as well.
The 17 year old female young offender was charged with possession of stolen property. She was also wanted on outstanding warrants. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on the 14 April 2009 in relation to a theft, assault, and breach of probation charge. In that incident which had occurred on the 12 March 2009 the accused is alleged to have stolen a bottle of shampoo and conditioner from Food Basics on Pine Street. She is also alleged to have assaulted the security guard who arrested her and was on probation at the time to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

Break and Enter/Robbery:

Just prior to 8:00 a.m. on the 28 May 2009 Patrol Officers were called to attend a residence in the 100 block of Gore Street for a break and enter. It is alleged that two males forced entry by kicking in the door and confronted the resident. One of the males brandished a firearm while the other male pepper sprayed the victim. The males then searched the residence and fled with a small amount of liquor. Aside from the discomfort of the pepper spray, the victim was not harmed. The victim did not know the two suspects. Officers from Investigation Services are continuing the investigation and at this time no further details are being released.

Theft of Donation Can:

On the 28 May 2009 27 year old James Douglas Wilson of 167 Poplar Street and 19 year old Kenny Peter Armstrong of 222 Albert Street East allegedly stole a Red Cross Donation can containing assorted change from Zellers at 306 Northern Avenue. It is alleged that they took the can from the cash counter and left with it to a residence on Old Garden River Road where they were located by police and subsequently arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property. They are scheduled to appear in court on the 29 June 2009.

Assault Causing Bodily Harm:

28 year old Patricia St. Louis of 326 Albert Street East was arrested and charged on the 28 May 2009 for an assault which she is alleged to have committed on the 26 May 2009. In that incident the accused was alleged to have been at a residence in the 100 Block of Bloor Street West where a verbal argument with another female escalated to the point where the accused punched this female in the face several times causing injuries that required medical attention. Ms. St. Louis was consequently charges with assault causing bodily harm. She will be attending court on the 29 June 2009.

Theft:

Sometime during the previous night a horse trailer was reported stolen from a parking lot in the Industrial Park area. The trailer is silver in color and is valued in excess of ten thousand dollars.

Motor Vehicle Collisions:

A 55 year old male was involved in two separate motor vehicle collisions yesterday resulting in minor injury to himself. At approximately 12:27 p.m. the male driver was proceeding north on North Street in his car when he left the roadway and struck a utility pole at the intersection of St. Mary’s Avenue. He then left the scene in a dazed and confused state eventually proceeding west on St. Georges Avenue East. At the intersection of North Street the driver attempted to make a right hand turn but swerved into the left turn lane and sideswiped another vehicle (a passenger van) that was stopped waiting to make a turn. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. The other driver was uninjured. A police investigation revealed that a pre-existing medical condition contributed to the accidents. There were no charges laid as a result.
