4:30PM Update A 27 year old male was charged with three counts of assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of choking, one count of threatening and four counts of mischief under $5000. This was all in relation to domestic incidents.

A 27 year old male was charged with three counts of assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of choking, one count of threatening and four counts of mischief under $5000.

This was all in relation to domestic incidents.

He was scheduled for Bail Court.

Failing to Remain

Officers from the Traffic Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are currently investigating a Fail to Remain Collision that occurred at the intersection of Churchill Ave. and Peoples Road at approximately 7 pm on last evening.

Officers are requesting the assistance of the public in locating a vehicle that left the scene and is believed to be involved in the collision.

The vehicle is described as a newer model (2007-2012) GMC or pick up or Chevy Avalanche, black in colour with damage to the front right corner.

The driver of the second vehicle did receive minor injuries in the collision. This incident is still under investigation and anyone having information that may assist the police is asked to contact Constable David Lapish of the Traffic Services division (705)949 6300 ext. 295.
