Missing Person's Report

The Sault Ste Marie City Police are requesting the Public’s assistance in locating a 25-year-old female and her two children. At approx. 12:00 noon today, Jason Mark contacted the City Police and advised that he hasn’t seen his common-law girlfriend since 11:00 AM yesterday morning.

Missing are:
1. Patricia Lori Ann St. Louis, D.O.B.: 26 Dec 1980 of 38 Fauquier Ave.
She is described as: A white female, med build, 5’8” tall, 140 lbs, long dark hair and blue eyes. She sometimes goes by the name of Tricia.

2. Nathan St. Louis, D.O.B.: 24 Feb 1998

3. Riley St. Louis, D.O.B.: 26 Feb 2000


Anyone seeing or having information on the above persons is asked to contact the City Police at 949-6300.

Imparied Driving Charges Laid

At approx. 8:00 PM last night City Police were informed of an erratic driver on Great Northern Rd. The complainant informed police that the driver, a female, was driving at high rates of speed and weaving in and out of traffic. The vehicle was stopped on Gladstone Ave. by police officers and upon speaking to the driver it was learned that she was under the influence of alcohol. At this time, 8:10 PM, Rachel Larente, D.O.B.: 22 Mar 1979, of 21 Salisbury Ave. was arrested for Impaired Driving. When at the station the accused refused to take a Breathalyzer test and was subsequently charged with Refusing a Breath Sample. Ms. Larente will be appearing in court on Monday April 11th at 9:00 AM.

Breach of a Court Release Document

Yesterday morning at approx. 11:50 AM City Police arrested James Mallette for breaching a court release document. It is alleged that Mr. Mallette breached the release document by attending at an address that he was to remain away from and also by communicating with a person that he was not permitted to have any contact with. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Male Charged with Assault

A 19-year-old male was arrested yesterday morning and charged with three counts of Breach of Recognizance and one count of Assault. It is alleged that the male attended at the address of his
ex-girlfriend in the early morning hours. While there he assaulted the complainant by punching her in the face. At the time of the assault the accused was out on a release document that prohibited him from communicating with the victim, attending at her address or physically interfering with her. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Male Resists Arrest

At approx. 9:00 AM yesterday morning City Police officers attended at an address in the 1000 block of Peoples Rd. to follow up on a Breach of Recognizance complaint. At this location the officers located the suspect and arrested him for the breaches. Upon being arrested the accused resisted the officers. As a result he was further charged with Resisting Arrest. The 22-year-old male will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM on these charges.

Break and Enter

City Police are investigating several break and enters to an office/warehouse complex at 285 Wilson St. The break–in took place early yesterday morning. It is not known at this time what was stolen. At approx. 8:20 PM last evening City police were dispatched to an alarm at a residence in the 100 block of Fauquier Ave. Upon arrival the officers discovered that the residence was broken into. It appears as if the alarm frightened the culprits off prior to police arrival.

Stop For School Buses

The Sault Ste Marie Police Traffic Service wishes to advise motorists that they will be following School Buses around town and enforcing the Highway Traffic Act section dealing with Failing to Stop for a School Bus. This is as a result of numerous complainants of motorists Fail to Stop for the buses. In the first two months of this year the officers have received 22 complaints. This week the Traffic Department issued three charges under this section. If convicted under this charged the fine is $ 500.00 and
7 demerit points.
