Five people to appear in bail court this morning

On the 14th of February 2006, 19-year old [charges withdrawn] of 277 Landslide Road was arrested and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. The charges against [charges withdrawn] have been withdrawn

Five People To Appear In Bail Court This Morning

34-year old Jeffrey Mayhew, who currently resides at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre, was arrested yesterday morning and charged with a number of offences. The accused has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of using a firearm while committing a robbery, two counts of pointing a firearm, one count of carry a concealed weapon, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of restricted or prohibited firearm with ammunition, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. The offences occurred between February 1st and February 23rd. It is alleged that during this time the accused used a .22 caliber handgun to rob another male of money, threatened the male, and also pointed the weapon at the male and a female. The victims and the accused are known to each other.

A 16-year old youth was arrested last night. Just before 9 pm City Police attended in the area of the King Street parking lot regarding vehicles being broken into. When officers arrived at the location it is alleged that the accused was attempting to hide a car stereo in their jacket. The youth was on probation at the time with conditions to keep the peace and be good. The youth has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of breach of probation.

A 41-year old male was arrested just before 8 pm last night in relation to a domestic dispute. It is alleged that the accused attended at a west end address and got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend who was visiting at the address. It is alleged that the accused then left this address and broke into the victim’s residence. Police apprehended the accused as he was leaving the victim’s home. The accused was on probation with conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the victim, to keep the peace and be good and to refrain from consuming alcohol. The accused was also on a release order not to molest, harass or annoy the victim and not to attend at her residence. The accused has been charged with one count of break and enter with intent to commit an offence, three counts of breach of a release order and three counts of breach of probation.

Just before 2 am this morning City Police attended at an east end residence for a noise complaint. Officers arrested a 16-year old youth at the address and charged the youth with 5 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was breaching probation by consuming alcohol, not abiding by a curfew, had failed to notify a change of address, failed to keep the peace and was in the company of another youth they were not to associate with.

Just before 2 am this morning City Police attended at an east end residence for a noise complaint. Officers arrested another 16-year old youth at the address and charged this youth with 2 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the youth was in the company of another youth that they were on probation to stay away from, as well as not abiding by a curfew.

30 Yr Old Aressted For Possessing Morphine And A Dangerous Table Leg

Yesterday morning officers from Investigation Services executed a search warrant at a downtown address. Officers located a small quantity of morphine with a street value estimated at under $20. Officer also located a large table leg with a spike in it, which is a prohibited weapon. 30-year old Emily Yeomans of 2-305 Huron Street has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon. She will appear in court on April 3rd.

Possible Break And Enter

Just after 2 am this morning City Police attended in the 100 block of Adeline Street for a break and enter complaint. It is alleged that a male attended at the residence and banged on the door, resulting in the door breaking. The victim and the accused are know to each other. Officers are continuing their investigation into this matter.
