Update Assault Wanted Persons

Police officers attended at an address in the 600 block of Wallace Terrace on the 26 March 2009 at approx. 5:00 pm with regards to an assault. The 34 year old male victim received facial injuries and was taken to hospital. Police are continuing their investigation into this matter

On the 26th of March 2009 around 5 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended an altercation in the parking lot of “Hard Time” liquor establishment situated at 652 Wallace Terrace in the city of Sault Ste. Marie. A 34 year old male was assaulted at this location by two male persons. A blunt weapon was used in the assault. The suspects fled the scene a vehicle believed to be a grey coloured 1992 Chevrolet Suburban, licence #BCZA 001. The victim is currently in hospital suffering from serious injuries.

Arrest warrants have been issued for the following persons for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon;

GREGANTI, Michael, Anthony
DOB: 18 March 1974
Last known address 1014 Wallace Terrace

HALLAM, Wesley, Raymond
DOB: 15 November 1981
Last known address 63 Foothill Road

The suspects and occupants of this vehicle are considered armed. Do not approach these individuals. Please contact the police or Crime Stoppers with any information relating to this incident or in regards to the whereabouts of the wanted parties.

UPDATE: Queen St. Closed

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to advise that Queen St. east has been re-opened to traffic. The road had been closed as officers investigated the single vehicle collision between a 2002 Kia Sportage and a hydro pole. The lone occupant of the Kia, the 35 year old female driver was taken to hospital with serious life threatening injuries. The Kia was west bound at the time of the collision.

The Investigation is being conducted by members of the Traffic Services Unit assisted by Patrol officers.

The Investigation is ongoing.


Assault

A 16 year old female will appear in court on the 28th of April 2009 charged with assault. It is alleged she approached another female outside of a local high school and began punching and pulling the hair of the victim.

Impaired Driving

A 43 year Carla Dawn Nadon of 32-15 Fish Hatchery Road will appear in court on the 04th of May 2009 charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and consuming over the legal limit. It is alleged that she was proceeding northbound on Boundary Road in the southbound lanes and collided with another motor vehicle. No injuries were reported and the accused vehicle suffered moderate damage and the other vehicle received minor damage.
