The Sault Ste Marie Police Service confirms the recovery of a deceased adult male in the area of Hiawatha Park in Sault Ste. Marie. The deceased male was located during the early evening hours of Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Identification of the person is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.

Male to appear in bail court for assault

Yesterday morning city police arrested a 29-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 25th the accused male attended at his ex-girlfriend’s residence and while there he became involved in an argument with her. It is further alleged that the accused got into his car and as he was driving away he struck the victim with his car. Victim was taken to hospital and is being treated for her injuries.

Male arrested on warrants to appear in bail court:
At approx. 11:00 pm last night city police arrested a 53-year-old male on outstanding warrants. It is alleged that the accused male failed to appear for court in Sept. 2007 on a charge of theft under $ 5,000. Michael Boudreau, age 53 of 93 Mitchell Ave. Toronto is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and one count of failing to appear for court.

Male arrested for break and enter

At approx. 11:30 am yesterday morning city police were called to a break and enter at a residence in the 100 block of MacDonald Ave. Upon searching the residence police located a male, later identified as Richard MacAloney inside. It is alleged that the accused person broke into the residence. It is further alleged that upon searching the accused the police located housebreaking tools and a knife that opened with centrifugal force. Richard MacAloney, age 19, of 13 Routledge St. is charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of housebreaking tools and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon. The accused will be appearing in court on April 26th.

Young person arrested for theft under $ 5,000

Yesterday afternoon city police were called to the Zellers Store in the Station Mall regarding a shoplifter. Police attended and arrested a 17-year-old female. It is alleged that the accused entered the store and stole two packages of cold medication valued at $ 14.94. The accused is to appear in court on April 27th.

Break and enter

Break –ins were reported in the 100 block of Wallace Terr. – u/k what was taken at this time.
Three break and enters were reported to residences in the 400 block of Fourth Line W. and one break-in was reported to a residence in the 500 block of Third Line W. tools and building supplies were taken from all four locations.

Theft

A vehicle was broken into in the 200 block of St. Mary’s River Dr. - electronic items taken.

Mischief

A vehicle parked in the 600 block of Queen St. E. was damaged.
