Two persons to appear in bail court: 1) Yesterday evening at approx. 7:25 pm a 37-year-old male attended at the city police station to turn himself in for two outstanding warrants.
Two persons to appear in bail court:

1) Yesterday evening at approx. 7:25 pm a 37-year-old male attended at the city police station to turn himself in for two outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on March 2nd, 2009 the accused attended at the residence of his girlfriend and while there he choked her and then threatened to kill her. It is further alleged that on March 9th, 2009 the accused telephoned his girlfriend and again threatened to kill her if she contacted police. The accused is charged with two counts of threatening death and one count of assault. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

2) At approx. 8:40 pm last night city police were called to the City Bus Terminal regarding an intoxicated male. Upon arrival officers discovered the accused, Matthew Russell, age 32 of 311 Gilles Ave. in an intoxicated condition. It is alleged that Mr. Russell breached the conditions of his undertaking release order. The conditions of his release were to not consume alcohol and to remain in his residence between the hours of 6:00 pm and 7:00 am. Mr. Russell is charged with two counts of breach of an undertaking.

Male arrested for drug offence:

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 4:35 pm city police arrested a 19-year-old male at the soccer field on Rossmore Rd. for possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged that the accused, Avery Cappellani, age 19, of 372 Pineshores Dr. was in possession of several packages of marihuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia. The accused will be appearing in court on April 20th at 9:00 am.

Young female arrested for theft and assault:

Yesterday evening at approx. 8:00 pm city police arrested a17-year-old female for theft and assault. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Food Basics Store, on Pine St. and while there she stole a bottle of shampoo
(valued at $ 5.29) and a bottle of conditioner (valued at $5.97). When the accused was apprehended, outside the store, by store security it is alleged that she assaulted the security officer. At the time of these offences the accused was on approbation order release. The accused will be appearing in court on April 14th at 9:30 am on one count of theft under $ 5,000.00, one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter:


City police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Grosvenor Ave yesterday regarding a break and enter. It is unknown at this time what has been stolen.

Mischief:

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Anna St was damaged yesterday.

Thefts:

City police received two theft complaints yesterday.
A wallet was stolen from a locker at the YMCA.
A vehicle parked in the 400 block of North St. Was entered and electronic items were stolen.
