On June 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25-year-old female as a result of a domestic violence incident.

Female charged in domestic violence incident

On June 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25-year-old female as a result of a domestic violence incident.

It is alleged that on June 15, the accused attended the residence of her ex-boyfriend and engaged in a verbal argument with him. The accused is alleged to have assaulted the victim by grabbing him around the neck and wrestling him to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused kneeled on the victim’s neck and chest. When the victim attempted to leave the area, the accused struck him in the head with a shoe.

Police were contacted and the accused was soon after arrested. She has been charged with one count of assault and was held for bail court.
