Four persons to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 56-year-old male for threatening and breaching a recognizance. It is alleged that on July 7th 2010 the accused male threatened to kill his ex-wife and her new friend. At the time of these offences the accused was bound by a recognizance release order to keep the peace and be good. The accused male is charged with one count of breach of recognizance and two counts of threatening death.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 51-year-old male for assault and breaching his probation. It is alleged that on July 7th the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by grabbing her. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a probation order release with conditions to not molest or harass the victim. The accused is charged with one count of assault and two count of breach of probation. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service “Street Team” arrested a 20-year-old female on several warrants and breaches. It is alleged that on July 8th 2010 the accused breached conditions of her recognizance release order by not residing with her surety. It is further alleged that on June 16th 2010 the accused failed to appear in court on charges of assault and assault with a weapon. Further it is alleged that on March 23rd 2010 the accused assaulted and robbed a male person. Brittany Wiebe, age 20, of 230 St. Andrews Terr. will be appear in court on charges of robbery, one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of failing to appear for court and three counts of breach of a recognizance.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 40-year-old male for mischief and possession of a prohibited weapon. It is alleged that earlier today the accused attended his ex-wife’s residence and committed the offence of mischief by breaking a window. It is further alleged that after arresting the accused, officers located a prohibited weapon (a sawed-off shotgun) at the accused’s residence. The accused is charged with one count of mischief and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Male arrested for mischief

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old male for mischief. It is alleged that at approximately 2:00 pm yesterday the accused damaged a vehicle parked in the Station Mall. Rodney Morrow, age 42, of 208 Ferguson Ave apt # 18 is charged with one count of mischief. Mr. Morrow will be appearing in court on August 16th at 9:00 am.

Mischief

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Wilcox Ave was damaged last night. A home in the 500 block of Boundary Rd. had a window smashed.

Break and enter

A residence in the 300 block of Huron St was broken into yesterday evening. Power tools and electronics were stolen.

Theft

Vehicles were entered in the 100 block of Appaloosa Ave, the 100 block of McQueen Rd. and the 100 block of Bruce St. Electronics were taken from these vehicles.
