Three persons to appear in bail court: Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and arrested a 43-year-old male on assault charges.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and arrested a 43-year-old male on assault charges. It is alleged that between May and June 2011 the accused assaulted and threatened to kill his ex-common-law wife. The accused was in custody and the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on other domestic related charges. The accused is charged with one count of threatening death and one count of assault.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male for failing to appear for prints. It is alleged that on June 30th 2011 the accused failed to appear at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Station for the purpose of identification. The youth is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her common-law husband. The victim did not require medical attention for his injuries. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

Break and enter:

An attempted break and enter was reported to a residence in the 600 block of Second Line W.

Mischief:

Vehicles were damaged in the 100 block of Birch St. and in the 200 block of Queen St. E.
City police received a report that several youths were damaging planters in the 100 block of Churchill Ave.

Theft:

Vehicles were entered in the following locations:
The 200 block of Albert St. W. – cigarettes and a cell phone were stolen.
The 1200 block of Wellington St. E. - banking papers were stolen.
The100 block of Drake St. – keys and cash were taken.
The 400 block of Wallace terr. – cigarettes, cash and beer were stolen.
The 900 block of Wellington St. E. - a briefcase was stolen.
The 100 block of Pim St. - it is unknown at this time what was taken.
A 50 foot garden hose was stolen from the 100 block of Fish Hatchery Rd.
A BBQ and a lawnmower were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Lansdowne Ave.
An outboard motor was stolen from the 500 block of Lake St.
