Male to appear in bail court for mischief and breach of recognizance

On June 30th members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a male for mischief and breach of a recognizance release order. It is alleged that on June 28th 2010, the accused, a 39-year-old male, damaged the vehicle of his ex-girlfriend. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order to keep the peace and to not molest, harass or annoy the victim. The accused male is charged with one count of mischief under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of a recognizance.

Male arrested for obstructing justice

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male on a charge of obstructing justice. It is alleged that in 2008 the accused male contacted two complainants of a break and enter and offered them money to withdraw the charges against another male. Charged with one count of obstruct justice is William Law, age 22, of 215 Spruce St. Mr. Law will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for driving while disqualified

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year-old male on a charge of drive while disqualified. It is alleged that the accused male was operating a motor vehicle while he was prohibited from doing so by reason of a court order. Charged is Michael Miller, age 38, of 329 Alexandra St. Mr. Miller will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Two persons arrested for failing to appear for court

Early yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on May 3rd, 2010 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Sara Bower, age 34, of 484 Shannon Rd. will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male on a charge of failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on June 28th on a charge of theft under $ 5,000. Charged with one count of failing to appear for court is Meeshan Jacobs, age 19 of 28 Cathcart St. Apt # 2. Mr. Jacobs will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Mischief

Rocks were thrown through windows in the 100 block of Heath Rd, the 100 block of Pentagon Blvd, the 100 block of Summit Ave, the 100 block of Walnut St. and the 100 block of Chambers Ave.

Theft

Vehicles were broken into in the following locations: the 100 block of Florwin Dr, the 100 block of Clearview Dr, the 100 block of Paladin Ave and the 100, 300 and 800 blocks of Third Line E.

Break and enter

A garage was entered in the 100 block of Dunrobin Bay –miscellaneous items were stolen. Residences were entered in the 300 block of Huron St and the 300 block of Patrick St. – power tools and electronics were stolen. A break and enter was reported in the 400 block of Albert St. W. at 1:45 am this morning. Beer and wine was reported stolen. Two suspects were seen leaving the scene. They are described as: Males, late teens to early 20’s, 5’7” – 5’9”, one was wearing a dark sweat shirt and shorts.
