Search Warrant Results in Two Males being Arrested and Charged with Drug Related Offences

On the 7th of January at approximately 11:40 am, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, Canine Unit, the Emergency Services Unit and Patrol Services executed a search warrant at the residence of Brian Currie and Bradley Lambert, located at 72 Cunningham Road. During the course of the search, officers located 12 grams of cocaine, 2 codeine tablets, 122 grams of cannabis marihuana, 2.5grams of cannabis resin, a digital scale, packaging, drug paraphernalia and a stolen 46 inch Samsung flat screen television. As a result, Bradley Lambert, age 19, was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. Brian Currie, age 48, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $3720.00. They are both to appear in court on the 22nd of February.

Impaired Driver Arrested

35 year-old Mark Poirier of 254 Patricia Road in Stratford Ontario was arrested on the 8th of January at 2:33 am on Pim Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 8th of January at approximately 2:31 am city police stopped and checked a vehicle that had failed to stop for the red light intersection at Pim and Bruce Street. Officers discovered that the driver, the accused, was under the influence of alcohol. The accused is to appear in court on the 22nd of February.
