Male to appear in Bail court for weapons and threatening charges

At approx. 5:30 am this morning city police were called to a centrally located address regarding a threatening complaint. Police attended at the address and subsequently arrested a 22-year-old male and charged him with one count of threatening death and one count of possession of a weapon dangerous. It is alleged that the accused threatened to kill a fellow tenant. In making the threat the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed a door. No one was injured in this incident.

Two males to appear in bail court

Yesterday evening city police attended the Sault Area Hospital and arrested a 47-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused assaulted and threatened two members of the hospital staff. The accused, Perry Hoover, age 47, of no fixed address is charged with two counts of assault and one count of threatening death. The hospital staff members received minor injuries.

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested Stephen Kerr, age 40, of 105 Coles Bay Rd. Thessalon and charged him with one count of possession of a stolen credit card and one count of using a stolen credit card. It is alleged that on January 14 the accused had and used a stolen credit card at Mac’s Mart, 187 Gore St. to purchase
$ 77.93 worth of merchandise.

Mischief
A scooter was damaged in the 900 block of Queen St. E
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Kohler St. was damaged yesterday.

Theft of motor vehicle
A blue 2005 Chev Impala was stolen yesterday afternoon from the 100 block of Allard St.
