ROBBERY Just before 6pm yesterday evening City Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a robbery that had just occurred at Rexall Pharmacy located at 612 Second Line West.

Just before 6pm yesterday evening City Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a robbery that had just occurred at Rexall Pharmacy located at 612 Second Line West.

A lone male had entered the pharmacy brandishing a knife and demanding prescription drugs. He then left the pharmacy with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs, heading north on Goulais Avenue.

Officers from Patrol Services, Investigation Services and the k-9 unit attended in the area of the robbery. A number of witnesses were interviewed at the scene including employees. Officers from Investigation Services are continuing to investigate the incident.

The male is described as 6ft tall, possibly native with brown hair, brown eyes and a chubby face. He was wearing a black knit balaclava, black pants, black jacket and older style Sorrels with tanned leather uppers.

27 YEAR OLD MALE ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT.

A 27 year old male has been charged with 1 count of assault and will be appearing in bail court this morning.
It is believed that on December 30th the accused assaulted his girlfriend at her centrally located residence by pushing and chocking her. The victim did not require medical attention.
Officers arrested the accused when he returned to the victim’s residence at approximately 5pm on the 1st of January.

43 YEAR OLD MALE ARRESTED FOR MAKING THREATS.

43 year old Jeffrey Allen Fairhall of 33 Langdon Crescent has been charged with 1 count of threatening death and will be appearing in bail court this morning.
It is believed that on the 30th of December at approximately 11:30 am the accused left a message on a computer social website for a person known to him. In the message the accused threatened to go on a shooting rampage.
The accused attended at the Police Services Building where he was arrested and charged.

18 YEAR OLD MALE CHARGED WITH MISCHIEF.

18 year old Brock Allan Kinnunen of 151 Sackville road has been charged with 1 count of mischief and 2 counts of breaching his release documents. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.
It is believed that on the 1st of January at approximately 4:30 am the accused, while intoxicated, caused mischief to his residence by breaking a bedroom door and punching holes in the walls. At the time of the incident the accused was on an undertaking to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to consume any alcohol. Police were called and the accused was arrested.

35 YEAR OLD FEMALE ARRESTED FOR THEFT.

On the 25th of November the accused, 35 year old Heather Rivers of 536 Goulais Avenue, unit #301 committed a theft by taking items valued at $109 from The Source Store in the Cambrian Mall and placing them in her bag. The accused was recorded on video surveillance where she was identified by investigating officers.
On the 30th of November the accused again committed a theft by placing articles into her bag at Zellers Northern Avenue, and then exiting the store without making any attempt to pay for the article. She was apprehend outside the store by staff and held for Police.
Heather Rivers was arrested for both incidents and charged with 2 counts of theft and 2 counts of breaching her probation order. She will be appearing in court on the 12th of January.

STOLEN SNOWMACHINE.

City Police are investigating the theft of a snow machine taken from an address on Huntington Park this morning between 4:00 and 5:30am. The snow machine is described as a blue 2005 Polaris 600 50th anniversary edition, plate number 972 074. STOLEN MACHINE RECOVERED

The above stolen snow machine was recover shortly before 8 am on Ontario Drive at the Crescent. It was abandoned and the windshield was stolen with a trail permit affixed to it. The trail permit number located on the windshield is w012796.
