Male Shoplifter Charged 43 year-old Darrell Ojeebah of #1-130 Gore Street was arrested on the 4th of February at 7:08 pm Street on Chapple Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00.

43 year-old Darrell Ojeebah of #1-130 Gore Street was arrested on the 4th of February at 7:08 pm Street on Chapple Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 4th of February at approximately 6:50 pm the accused attended at Rome’s Independent Grocers and stole a number of items from the store. Security attempted to apprehend the accused outside but he would not comply. Police were contacted and the accused was located and arrested on Chapple Avenue. He is to appear in court on the 8th of March.

Male Arrested for Making Death Threats

53 year-old Keith Nedeau of 825 Bonney Street was arrested on the 4th of February at 9:15 pm at his residence and charged with one count of threatening death. It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of a female known to him around 8:30 pm last evening and threatened to kill her. He is to appear in court on the 22nd of March.

Property Crimes

Sometime overnight on Wednesday and the early morning hours on Thursday, a number of vehicles were entered and several damaged in the underground parking and garage areas of 313 Macdonald Avenue, 621 Macdonald Avenue, 18 Ferguson Avenue and the Breton Road area. Several windows were reported smashed and some of the items reported stolen included: change, a camera, backpacks, a passport and other vehicle documents.

Citizens should remember to always remove anything of value from their parked vehicles. If anything of value must be stored in the vehicle, then it should be hidden from plain view or secured in the trunk. Vigilance by locking vehicles and removing items of temptation will greatly reduce incidents of theft.
