Male arrested for failing to appear for court:
Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old male for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that on December 19th 2011 the accused failed to appear for court on a charge of mischief. Shaun Charlette, age 21, of 12 Amherst St is charged with one count of failing to appear for court. The accused is to appear in court on March 5th at 9:00 am.
Male arrested for assault:
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that on Wednesday February 1st 2012 the accused assaulted his common-law- girlfriend. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning.
Stolen vehicle:
A red 1998 Skidoo snow machine was stolen from the 100 block of Hess St.
