Disqualified Driver On the 19th February 2009 at approx. 10:10 pm patrol officer’s stopped a 1993 Chevrolet pick-up truck in the area of Pine and Wellington St. The driver and sole occupant who was known to the officer’s was a disqualified driver.

On the 19th February 2009 at approx. 10:10 pm patrol officer’s stopped a 1993 Chevrolet pick-up truck in the area of Pine and Wellington St. The driver and sole occupant who was known to the officer’s was a disqualified driver. Lawrence Erice Foreman age 22 of Shannon Road in Sault Ste. Marie will appear in court on the 23rd of March 2009 to answer to the charge of Drive while disqualified. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

Failing to Provide Breath Sample

On the 20th of February 2009 at approx.01:40 am patrol officer’s observed a 1989 Chevrolet pick-up southbound on Pim St. being driven with the headlights not operating. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot where police approached the driver. The driver was given the roadside breath demand but refused to provide a sample. Jeffrey Justin Davies age 18, of Second Line west in the city of Sault Ste. Marie will appear in court on the 23rd of March 2009 charged with failing to provide a breath sample.

Theft of Money From a Cab

On the 15 February 2009 at approx. 03:00 am a cab driver reported a theft of money from his cab. The driver had parked his cab at the front area of the Charity Casino left the vehicle running and unlocked then attended in the casino. Upon his return to his vehicle he discovered the theft and police were notified. Police officer’s and security officer’s reviewed the security video and were able to identify the suspects. As a result two male will appear in court on the 23rd of March 2009. Charged are Jessie James Petingalo age 21 of Second Line west and Shawn Bradley Bellerive age 21 of Henrietta St. Both have been charged with theft under.

Fraud Alert

Yesterday a citizen called police to advise that a person had called them stating that they represented the TD bank and wanted to ensure that the clients pin number was secure and asked the client to provide the number. The citizen found this odd and did not provide the information. The citizen thought the call came from a 1-866 number. Police advise that you Do Not provide personal information over the phone unless you know it is a trusted party. If you deal with the company that they say they represent check with its local Branch to confirm the activity.

Break & Enter

Police investigated one residential break and enter yesterday. The home in the 400 block of Korah Rd. was entered sometime in the last couple of days. A computer and jewelry were reported missing.
