Two Males To Appear In Bail Court This Morning A 42-year old male was arrested last evening and charged with 4 counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and 2 counts of breach of probation.

A 42-year old male was arrested last evening and charged with 4 counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and 2 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused called his immediate family members and threatened to kill 4 of them. At the time of the offence, the accused was also on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

29-year old Daniel Miller of basement apartment 960 Queen Street East was arrested last night and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at the LCBO Store in the Station Mall and tried to hide two bottles of Labatts Maximum Ice in a bag. Station Mall Security arrested the accused and turned him over to City Police. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation with a number of terms.

17-Year Old Facing Theft Charges

A 17-year old youth was arrested early yesterday morning and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of mischief. It is alleged that on the 9th of February around 1:30am the youth entered two vehicles by breaking their windows and stole 12-volt dash cigarette lighters from both. The vehicles were in the parking lot of an automotive shop in the 500 block of Goulais Avenue. The youth will appear in court on March 14th.

Police Find Stolen Licence Plates

Last evening officers on patrol had occasion to stop a vehicle on Cathcart Street. A query of the licence plates on the vehicle revealed that they had been reported stolen in January from a vehicle in the City’s west end. Officers arrested 23-year old Terrence Whalen of 365 Whitney Avenue and charged him with one count of possess of property obtained by crime. The accused will appear in court on March 13th.

Police Investigate Motor Vehicle Collision And Find Marijuana

Yesterday afternoon just after 1 pm Traffic Services and Patrol Services attended at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Pilgrim Street for a motor vehicle collision with injuries.

An SUV operated by Donald Robert of Edmonton, Alberta was traveling westbound on Wellington Street East. An SUV, operated by Rae-Ann Perrault of Garden River was traveling eastbound on Wellington Street East when it made a left turn across the path of the Robert vehicle. The vehicles collided and both came to a stop against a snow bank.

Mr. Robert did not receive any injuries in the collision. Ms. Perrault was taken to the Sault Area Hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The Robert vehicle sustained severe damage and the Perrault vehicle was demolished.

Further, during the course of the investigation into the collision, officers located a baggie with 58 grams of marijuana, with a street value of $580, in the Perrault vehicle.

29-year old Rae-Ann Perrault of 340B Highway 17 E, Garden River has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and will appear in court on March 13th. She has also been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with one count of turn-not in safety.
