The Sault Ste Marie Police Service has identified the suspect responsible for the Petro Canada Service station robbery, at 713 Trunk Rd. on August 4th, 2010. An arrest warrant has been issued for Allan David Ross, age 40, of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Allan Ross is described as: Male, Native Canadian, 40 years old, 6’ tall, 200 lbs, heavy build, shaved head. Numerous tattoos to arms, neck and on face. It is believed that the suspect may not in the Sault Ste Marie area at this time and may be in the Sudbury/ Manitoulin Island area. The suspect may be in a white 1996 Dodge Caravan, licence # BJBD 440. If sighted by the public do not approach him. The suspect is to be considered dangerous and may be armed. Four persons to appear in bail court
Yesterday members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 51-year-old male and charged him with assault, threatening death and breach of probation. It is alleged that yesterday morning the accused attended at his ex-girlfriend’s residence and while there he assaulted her by punching her in the head. It is further alleged that upon arrest the accused threatened to kill the victim. Victim did not require medical attention. Further it is alleged that at the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to not molest or harass the victim, to remain away from her residence and not consume alcohol. The accused is charged with one count of assault, one count of threatening death and five counts of breach of probation.

Last night members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old male for assault, threatening, pointing a firearm and harassment. It is alleged that between May 12th 2010 and August 5th 2010 the accused assaulted his ex-common-law wife by pushing her and choking her. It is further alleged that the accused pointed a handgun at the victim and threatened to assault her with the gun. Further the accused has been harassing the victim by consistently texting and phoning the victim. The accused is charged with one count of point a firearm, one count of threatening, one count of assault and one count of harassment. The victim did not require medical attention. Police are still investigating this incident as the weapon has not yet been located.

At 1:00 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male for mischief and breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at the address of a person known to him and while there damaged the door to the residence and broke a light on a vehicle. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and to abide by a curfew of 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. The accused is charged with one count of mischief and three counts of breach of probation.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 35-year-old female for theft and possession of stolen property. It is alleged that the accused entered the Zellers Store, in the Station Mall and stole a quantity of socks valued at $ 8.97. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. It is further alleged that upon arrest officers located meat products and shoes, stolen from other stores in the mall, on then accused. Christine Miller, age 35, of 81 Hillside Dr. is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of stolen property.

Female arrested for theft
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 51-year-old female for theft. It is alleged that the accused entered the Canadian Tire Store, on McNabb St, and stole a quantity of items valued at $ 40.37. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. Dolorisa Bushey, age 51, of 41 Old Garden River Rd. Apt # 205 is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000. Ms. Bushey will be appearing in court on Sept 13th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter
A break and enter was reported to a business in the 100 block of Church St. – it is unknown at this time what was stolen.
An apartment was entered in the 100 block of James St. - medication was stolen.

Mischief
The front window of a residence in the 100 block of Lewis Rd was broken yesterday.

Theft
Vehicles were entered in the 400 block of Queen St. E. and the 700 block of Pine St. Electronics and a wallet were stolen.

A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at a local grocery store -don’t leave valuables unattended in stores.
