Persons arrested for failing to appear in court: 1. Christopher Duclos, age 23, of 627 McDonald Ave Apt 906 attended at the city police station yesterday morning and turned himself in on a warrant for failing to appear for court.
Persons arrested for failing to appear in court:

1. Christopher Duclos, age 23, of 627 McDonald Ave Apt 906 attended at the city police station yesterday morning and turned himself in on a warrant for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that Mr. Duclos failed to attend court on Aug 25th. He will be appearing in court on Sept 29th. At 9:00 am.

2. Michael Knox, age 34 of 7 Cunningham Rd. was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of failing to appear for court and two counts of breach of probation. Mr. Knox was arrested on warrants dating back to November 2005. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on October 23 2006. He will be appearing in court on Sept 29th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter:

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service received two break and enter reports yesterday.
An attempted entry was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Boehmer Blvd.
A residence in the 100 block of Boston Ave was entered - unknown what was taken.

Theft of vehicle:

A 1999 Chev Silverado green pick up truck was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Barber Blvd.

Thefts:

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Varsity Ave. was entered - unknown what was taken.
Culprits entered and attempted to steal a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Robin St.

Notices to the Public:

1. Cyclists are reminded to ride their bikes on the road and in the same direction as traffic. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service recently investigated two collisions involving bicycles. One cyclist, riding on the sidewalk and travelling in the wrong was struck by a vehicle. The second incident involved a cyclist and a pedestrian. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service will be enforcing the Highway Traffic Act and laying appropriate charges.

2. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service wants to remind the public that students will be returning to school on Tuesday. Please remember to stop for school buses and watch for children on the streets.
