One person to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year-old male for assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged that on August 18th the accused was at his girlfriend’s residence and while there he assaulted her. It is further alleged that the accused also restrained and prevented the victim from leaving. The accused was located yesterday morning and arrested for one count of assault and one count of forcible confinement. The victim did not require medical attention.

Male arrested for sexual assault

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male for sexual assault and invitation to sexual touching. It is alleged that between January 2008 and September 2009 the accused sexual assaulted a 14-year-old female. It is further alleged that the accused invited a person, under the age of 16 years, to touch him for a sexual purpose. The accused is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of invitation to sexual touching. The accused is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for breach of probation

At 1:25 am this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of his probation order by being out of his residence between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. Troy Bozowskyi, age 22 of 772 Wellington St. E is charged with one count of breach of probation. Mr. Bozowskyi is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter

At approximately 1:10 am this morning a male person was seen fleeing from a break and enter to an apartment in the 600 block of Queen St. E. The suspect is described as: male, white, blond hair, 20- 28 years of age, 5’9” tall. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, with white writing on front.

Theft

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received two reports of bicycles being stolen. The incidents occurred in the 100 block of Cody point Crt and the 500 block of Wilson St.

Motor vehicle collision with injuries

Yesterday morning at 9:25 am members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended at the intersection of Queen St. W. and Andrew St regarding a motor vehicle collision with injuries. It is alleged that a vehicle traveling south on Andrew St. failed to stop for the stop sign at Queen St. W. and struck a west bound vehicle. A passenger and the driver of the south bound vehicle were injured and transported to hospital for treatment. Rosario Tomasone, age 47, of 1172 Queen St. E. was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with disobey stop sign –fail to stop. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Public assistance requested

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male. This morning at 3:50 am police attended at the top of Bruce St. hill regarding a possible intoxicated male. Upon arrival officers noted that the male was suffering a possible heart attack and had him rushed to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment. The male does not have any identification on his person. The victim is described as:

Male, caucasian, 50 years of age, 210 lbs, 5’8” tall, brown and grey hair, blue eyes, medium build. The man was wearing a blue jean jacket, dark blue jeans and a “Rolling Stone” ball cap.
