Three persons to appear in bail court Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female for possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that the accused had five syringes containing cocaine.
Three persons to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female for possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that the accused had five syringes containing cocaine. The drugs were found by corrections officers at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre when the accused was being admitted into the facility. Tammy Moore, age 43 of 168 Andrew St is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Yesterday afternoon members the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old female on a warrant. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on July 25th. Heather Rivers, age 37, of 536A Goulais Ave Apt. # 301 is charged with one count of failing to appear for court.

Yesterday afternoon members the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for breach of nprobation. It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of his probation order release by harassing his ex-girlfriend and attending at her address. The accused is charged with two counts of breach of probation.

Two persons arrested for impaired driving

At 12:50 am this morning members the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male for drive over 80 mgs. It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle on Trunk Rd. when stopped by police. A roadside test was administered and the accused registered a fail. Jordie Belleau, age 22, of 726B Highway 17 East, Garden River is charged with one count of drive over 80 mgs. Mr. Belleau is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

At 3:45 am this morning members the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for impaired driving. It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle on Second Line W. while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. Robert Charrette, age 19, of 936 Wellington St. E is charged with one count of impaired driving. Mr. Charrette is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for warrants

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old female on two warrants. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on September 24th, 2010 on a charge of theft under $5,000. Marissa Racicot, age 19, of 266 John St. is charged with one count of failing to appear for court and one count of theft under $5,000. Ms. Racicot is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Motor vehicle - pedestrian collision

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a motor vehicle –pedestrian collision at the intersection of Bingham St and Queen St. E. It is alleged that the driver of the motor vehicle was operating a hand held communication device when he struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Drew Ralsanen, age 24, of 109 Lapish Rd, Echo Bay Ontario, has been charged with one count of drive while operating a hand held communication device and one count of failing to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.

Break and enter

Last night the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a report of an attempted break and enter to the Wellington Square Mall. No entry was gained.

Mischief

A window at a business in the 100 block of Gore St. was damaged.

At approximately 4:30 am two males were seen breaking into a vehicle in the 200 block of Beverly St. One suspect was wearing a black sweater and jeans.

Theft

A wallet was stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Queen St. W.

A car was entered in the 600 block of Queen St. E. – A small amount of cash and a passport were stolen.

Cash was stolen from an office in the 700 block of Queen St. E.

A quantity of scrap metal was stolen from the 200 block of Farwell Terr.

A bicycle was stolen from the 100 block of Manitou Dr.

Stolen vehicle

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a report that a 2003 red Ford Ranger was stolen from an address in the 100 block of St. George’s Ave. W.
